Here’s more quotable remark from the film:
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
The foreshadowing… I just cried a lot I actually didn’t know that ScarJo was in this film, I’m surprised that her character will be the one I will mostly cried for in the first place. I hate it. I love her character. Very much #BEARABBIT I WILL LOVE THIS FILM FOREVER! I LOVE YOU ELSA AND JOJO

theericagimpel: About Last Night:
What an incredible night Mom and I got to share seeing American Buffalo on Broadway.
I was so proud seeing Laurence Fishburne ignite the stage… his work was so powerful that even when his back was turned toward us you could feel what his character was going through.
It is an such an amazing feeling watching a fellow artist evolve over time (he and I were in the “King of New York” many years ago) and now to see him standing in his power with the passage of time, and one’s work becoming deeper and richer as one matures is profoundly inspiring…. that’s what it was like witnessing Laurence’s work for me… That’s why I was so proud… Darren Criss’ work moved me too and seeing Sam Rockwell on the stage was thrilling! Their work as an ensemble honors the play.
We then got to share time with them after the show which was special. I kept saying, to mom “This is such an amazing night!”
Then to see and share time with Wendell Pierce, whom I have such respect for, and who is coming to Broadway with “Death of Salesmen” in the fall was another special moment, because he did his first play “Lost in the Stars” with my mom, and last night he payed tribute to her, bringing tears of joy to her eyes.
There is magic to be had in this life and last night was one of those moments. Thank you New York! Thank you! Yes!
♂️
PS It was also wonderful meeting Matt Damon & John Krasinski too!

ShentonStage: Just seen a phenomenon trio of star actors in AMERICAN BUFFALO @BuffaloBway : @DarrenCriss, Laurence Fishburne & Sam Rockwell. Each have multiple theatre credits — and it shows. They have proper stage presence and authority.

American Buffalo | 2022 Tony Award Nominee
It’s a timely American truth: crime and business are two sides of the same coin. David Mamet’s classic about loyalty and greed stars Laurence Fishburne, Sam Rockwell, and Darren Criss as three small-time hustlers who want a bigger cut of the American dream.
—Watch the 75th Annual Tony Awards June 12, 2022—
The Tony Awards, presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will host a multi-platform celebration on Sunday, June 12th. Academy Award winner and Tony nominee Ariana DeBose will host The 75th Annual Tony Awards, airing live coast-to-coast (8:00-11:00 PM, LIVE ET/5:00-8:00 PM, LIVE PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+. Julianne Hough and Darren Criss will host “The Tony Awards: Act One,” one hour of exclusive content streaming live, only on Paramount+ (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/4:00-5:00 PM, PT.)
If the Tony Award voters can get past the politics of the playwright, American Buffalo may have a shot at this. I hope they win.
