#let there be carnage
My parents just watched Let There Be Carnage in theatres.
As I suspected, they missed all the gay vibes and can’t for the life of them see how Venom and Eddie are a couple.
Sigh
I’ve seen so many youtubers complaining about, or being outright disgusted, that venom seems gay in Let There Be Carnage.
Bitch they’ve always been gay! Everything about them from way back in the 90’s has had inherent gayness at all times!!
Eddie was fucking pregnant with Venom’s child! Full on morning sickness and everything.
“Love” and “darling” and a venomized orgy scene (y'all know the one I’m talking bout) clearly wasn’t signal enough for these idiots I guess.
They’re acting like venom and eddie being queer is a new thing the director suddenly decided should happen, “to be woke” or something.
Aka “Tell me you’ve never read a Venom comic without telling me you’ve never read a Venom comic”
i don’t know how to tell my dad that everything he likes about the venom movie is the high camp rom-com subtext between sweaty tom hardy and a horny goo monster but we are going to see venom 2 together so win win i guess
The second venom film came out during my hiatus and I did this little digital painting of Venom to celebrate as he is my favourite comic book character.

Listen. Am I scared that putting Venom in the MCU could water down the character and his relationship with Eddie? Yes. Do I wake up in cold sweat occasionally, thinking about Venom becoming Disney’s 57th First Openly Gay Character? Absolutely.
But one thing gives me hope and it’s the fact that they would need to put a shock collar on Tom Hardy to make him play Eddie Brock as straight for even a single second. Joke’s on them, he’s probably into that shit.
