more updates - some paintings from life from last month

Here is my 20th piece since 2015 started. It is my 4th week in a row doing portrait painting from life. Sadly, there are no more long pose sessions in Montreal, so this may be my last in a while.

My second alla prima from life in Montreal. 3 hours, with an hour after inventing from my head, since the lighting situation in real life was no good. Harsh lights from everywhere, all the hair was lit up with very cool highlights that made her look grey haired, etc. 9 x 12 canvas panel, oils

I went to a life painting session yesterday in Montreal. Sadly there are only two sessions left until they close down, but here is my alla prima for it.  About 3 hours, plus I somehow spent an hour after painting the background. It was really fun (and expensive due to the speeding ticket I got on the way there haha)!

My first full figure oil painting that I started in term 2, 12 hours from life, in which I only did the head, shoulders, uppers torso, and upper arms. The rest was done from a really bad cellphone pic, the drapery and underwear is invented. Done on a 16x20 masonite panel.
