At 29, the most long-term relationship Sasha and Paige have ever been in is with each other, using their co-dependent friendship as an excuse not to venture out into the dating world alone.
But when Paige meets nerdy Tim and starts to get serious for the first time, the nature of their friendship begins to shift. Fearing she’s being cast aside, Sasha tries to keep their relationship the same, but does growing up also mean growing apart?
This movie was good I guess but it was made even BETTER by the fact that body Leighton meester AND Gillian Jacobs were in it (full disclosure they don’t play a couple). Basically it’s just about their very close friendship changing when Gillian Jacobs gets a long term boyfriend. Leighton meester (I don’t remember the character names) is a lesbian but it’s very much just a small part of her. It’s never played as ‘different’ and her personality is not based around it which was quite refreshing. Don’t expect to be blown away by the story but the acting is good and it’s a fun time 7/10
