I got to wear my new @mayakern star gay-zing skirt today! Decided to build an outfit around it to maximize the gay aesthetic. It is very exciting to have a skirt with pockets that can fit my giant phone, and the waistband is sturdy enough that it doesn’t even pull the skirt down. I waffled between sizes (my waist is around 34 inches) and would probably go with the larger size next time, at least for the mini length. (One thing I will note - I’m going to need to get a slip or something because it would NOT stop riding up in the back. I always wear leggings or shorts under skirts anyway so it’ll be fine, just need to experiment with ways to keep it in place.)
Anyway this is super cute and I’m very excited I managed to get one!
New@mayakern skirt arrived today! I love how the pockets are green inside, it’s such a fun detail. (Also, many many thanks to Devin for exchanging my order for the next size up after I bought a different skirt in the recent sale and realized I’d prefer a larger size, this one fits perfectly!)
you aren’t the person you used to be. you’re always learning and growing from the mistakes you’ve made in the past, and regretting them is a sign that you’ve changed. having made mistakes doesn’t make you inherently bad or unloveable, what matters is being able to acknowledge when you stumble and then trying to grow from it.
The person you owe forgiveness the most is yourself sometimes. We can be our harshest critics, the ones who sabotage ourselves most, the ones who speak to ourselves with harsh words filled with self-hatred and misunderstanding.
