Its all just Macaque
DW! I can re-explain it here since it got deleted when i dfe’d my tumblr and twitter.
Basically, Liu Er has no memories of his past love. He found Little Nugget hurt during a scouting trip and brought her back to help heal her. He felt connected to her and kept her instead of releasing her back into the wild like they usually do.
The comics are just him slowly remembering.
The first comic is Liu Er remembering her presence. Something small, but it’s all he had of her. He would have these dreams of her regularly, but everytime he woke up it would be Little Nugget next to him instead of the person in his dreams.
The second comic is backstory. Demons were chasing them constantly, wanting to eat Liu Er’s mate (for a reason not yet described). It mostly shows the promise they made in order to bring her back. Little Nugget has alot to do with this story, which is why in the last comic, Liu Er sees his beloveds face when he looks at Nugget.
All Liu Er needs to remember to bring back his love is Her Name.

Just a random thought of mine. The Six Eared Macaque is known for his superior hearing, even said in myths that he can hear the past, present, and future. So my thought is, would something like the Calm Calm Fruit from One Piece put him at a disadvantage?
For those who don’t know One Piece, Devil Fruits grant a person unique powers at the price of being unable to swim. The Calm Calm Fruit turns the eater into a living silencer, removing sound from objects to even their surroundings. It’s last user was Donquixote ‘Corazon’ Rosinante, an assassin with insane durability and weapon handling before he died. When a Devil Fruit user dies, their fruit is reborn somewhere.
Back to the topic at hand… Macaque fighting an enemy he can’t see is not much of a hassle due to his hearing, but what about someone he cannot hear? His opponent, their weapons and environment completely void of any noise.
Just a thought to humor. Or maybe a little more~ Until next time folks, I’ll see you back at Megapolis.
@heroesneverreallydiethoughts?
That … Brings up an interesting scenario .
In theory if the CC (calm-calm) user can stay out of Liu Er Mihou’s line of sight, they MIGHT be able to get a strike in if they’re quick. Problem is, it took both SWK and The Budda to subdue/kill him, so once he does track on to you, unless you’re the Victorious Fighting Buddha, you’re SCREWED.
And that’s assuming that he doesn’t track you immediately on account of that whole Hearing The Future thing. That’s kinda hard to get around.
It’s a fun thought exercise.
@heroesneverreallydie Thank you for your input! You make a lot of valid points and this will be a great help for me to use in the future.
What I plan on using this idea for is a secret but it’ll be interesting I promise you that!
To anyone who thought Lego Monkie Kid Macaque’s Smoke Monster was scary…
This is SOOOO MUCH WORSE in my opinion: Doctor Who’s Vashta Nerada.
I rather take the giant shadow monkey thank you very much. :P
