A late 2019 FO which had to be kept secret for a little while - a pair of socks for my housemate made with @lovehandyed’s wonderful Nessie colourway.

I believe this was a yarn dyed specifically for @lochnessknitfest, and was absolutely perfect for my housemate’s birthday present.

Note to self though: knitting socks in secret is not as fun as it seems. I ran super close to time with these, and almost resorted to giving one as a birthday present and saving the other for Christmas. Luckily it didn’t come to that!

If you’re not using your train journeys for impromptu photo shoots, what are you even doing?

Having two pairs on the needles is actually a pretty nice feeling, as it makes me less likely to get bored of either.

On the left I’m reknitting a failed sock I refused to acknowledge for about six years. On the right, a request from faeandfibre, who very kindly helped me find a third skein at lovehandyed’s stall this Saturday. It’s knitting up beautifully.
