following her introduction back on Christmas day, we would like to partially introduce you to Lucuma, the New face of the Physalis Project.
As our Mascot, Lucuma is to be featured as a recurrent character in all of our games, most of the time as a Host others as a Cameo.But in the case of our main game “Frozen Heart Bitches” she’s going to play an important role as a Recurring character thought the series, this is going to be explained and Detailed on a introductory MiniComic we will be releasing this new year, she’s actually very relevant to the events occurring on the School.
About her Origin and Meaning behind her Creation.
The creation of Lucuma was a reactionary response to some comments we have received since we started with the project about if we were planing on making a mascot, and after giving it some though and while working on the scripts for “Frozenheart Bitches” the concept was Born.
Lucuma is a humanized version of an species of Bear called the “Spectacled bear” name given because of the white fur around their eyes, they are a small type of wear who likes to eat fruits and small insects, they live on the jungles of Peru.
the name Lucuma is short for Lulu Kuma, this name has it’s origin on a play of words, being the Aymara (a peruvian native language) word for Spectacled Bear, Ukumari, which conveniently sounds like the Japanese word for Bear “Kuma”, and her First name Lulu a common name that doesn’t hold a deeper meaning as far as convenience.
Lucuma is the name of a Native Peruvian fruit which is very popular all around the country, it has a slightly sour creamy flavor and it is mostly consumed as an Icecream and Cake flavor.

We wanted to take advantage of the occasion to reveal to you our latest creation, Lulu Kuma (Lucuma for short) and she’s the official Mascot for the Physalis Project!
She’s more than a pretty face, she’s going to be an important character involved on the story and scripts of the “FrozenHeart Bitches” games, and she will also be featured in a short comic that will serve as an introduction to the story of the games, needless to say you are going to enjoy it greatly ;)
I will be Detailing more about her this week, her background story and her role on the Games, be sure to keep an eye open!

Inktober Day 9: Lucuma
Lucuma is a subtropical fruit native to Perú. It’s been described to taste a bit like maple and sweet potato. It’s commonly used as an ingredient for ice cream, but it is also found in cakes, puddings, and other desserts. (THIS ICE CREAM IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST FLAVOR OF ICE CREAM EVER. I highly recommend it.)
When I was little, I would travel to Huancayo to stay with my grandparents for the summer. There was always a street vendor walking around selling Lucuma ice cream out of a cart. It’s sooo common over there. I’m pretty thankful that there is a local paleteria here that sells Lucuma ice cream
