[image ID: A digital painting of an underwater scene. Light is filtering down from the glowing ocean surface. In the top right is a Mantine (a Pokémon resembling a manta ray) gliding with its side fins outstretched and its mouth open. Two Remoraid (small silver-gray fish) are attached to its underside.

In the center is a Primarina (a creature resembling a sea lion, with a white torso and flippers, a long blue tail, and a cyan mane). The Primarina swims with its shimmering mane streaming behind it. Beneath the Primarina is a school of Luvdisc (fish resembling sideways hearts) of varying shades of pink.

In the bottom right is a Corsola (a creature resembling pink coral) on a rock shelf. In the background of the image is a small, faint silhouette of an oblong object in the distance near the water’s surface. Below this is another tiny circular silhouette. /end ID.]

Luvdisc on Valentine’s Day

Please do not give a Luvdisc as a Valentine’s Day gift without preparations to care for it! Every year hundreds of Luvdisc are abandoned after Valentine’s Day.

If you decide to get a Luvdisc, a small tank won’t cut it. Even freshwater variants need a lot of space. You would need a sizeable body of water or a very large tank to house a Luvdisc. They should also have at least one pokemon friend who can stay in the water to keep them company.

Besides, there are literal tons of Luvdisc-related alternatives for Valentine’s day! Troops of Luvdisc put on beautiful shows around this time. Or couples can get a professional photo with a Luvdisc. You can even get jewelry made from Luvdisc scales!

Please enjoy the holiday, but remember to treat these romantic pokemon with respect too!

Two Luvdisc underwater. The left one is wearing a small crown. They swim toward each other and kiss. When they kiss the background becomes pink as light and small white hearts radiant from their kiss.
DONE!! Will be available as miniprints (4x6 in) at Anime Boston.

Hey~ because I actually traced over the official Luvdisc images to get the heartshape right, and then adjusted the size to be small, you can have the pattern for free as well. (I mean I got no shame admitting to trace the form of this one, it is a simple 2d heart pattern, so meh. At least so ya know)

It’s a very simple pattern, but feel free to use, adjust and modify it. Don’t forget to credit me if you use it.
The pattern itself is for key chain plush size. I’d love to see your results if you do choose to use this pattern.

If you sew it this size, I recommend using plastic eyes, because the eyes are a little to small to actually sew.The pattern image is A4, so you can easily print it.
I recommend sewing the body and beak together first each, then sewing the cheeks on.After that you can sew the body together, I already added seam allowance. Though feel free to adjust it.Don’t forget to leave a hole for filling and turning inside out and to do the plastic eyes with.

I already tested this pattern and it worked fine by me:Luvdisk and shiny Luvdisk tiny plush

Just in case the pattern is off-size on tumblr, here is it on deviant.art:

Tiny Luvdisc plush!

Just finished it! I’m going to do the shiny version now and switch to back stitch(wanted to do the blanket stitch for comparison).

And not do all these mistakes with shiny one, that I did with this one. Also this means I finished the second plush of batch 1, so 2 more to go!

The plush is made with “Mikrofaser Plüschstoff”, polyester yarn, polyester stuffing and plastic eyes.

The plush is about 4,5 cm tall and 5cm in length. Very small.

I can provide the pattern after I tested it with the back stitch for the shiny one.

So hey~I still struggle understanding how patterns really work, so I sketched, with my current understanding, the patterns for the next pokeplushes I want to make. Wether or not these will work, I’ll see when I make it. (Just roughly sketched the pattern, I make the patterns traditionally on paper. So these patterns drawn won’t work nor have any size adjustment.)

Spinarak has been on my mind since finishing the shiny Natu and the second Espeon plush.Driftloon and Luvdisk are just some that come in mind when looking for easy plushies.Finneon? Looks easy enough and I tend to forget that it exists.

These are projects I want to do next, whenever that will be haha.
Btw. These plushies I’ll upload (considering me finishing these will probably not even this year.)Luvdisk I’ll make very small. Like keychain size. Will probably try to make Finneon just as small.
