Naked 3 Review!

My Review: I opened the palette just to swatch it and the first thing I noticed is that the shadows are like butter. They are so so smooth and easy to play around with. The wonderful thing about eyeshadow that is like butter is that blending is the easiest thing in the world. I love the large variety of pink shades, all of them have their own unique glow to them unlike anything else. Their are so many possibilities to discover using these colors and I am so happy with the purchase!

Pro’s - amazing pigments and super smooth

Con’s- It is expensive!

Laura Mercier Pressed Setting Powder in Translucent I originally was a fan of it in the loose powder form but decided to try out the compact Verizon this time. I will always LOVE this setting powder to set my under eye!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger

I love trying new Concealers but this is for sure my staple/go-to. Super Creamy and blendable, long-lasting, and doesn’t crease (I use Laura Marcier’s powder to set)

I bought my mom the Sensationail Gel Polish starter Kit for Mother’s Day this year.  Last night i moved home for the summer and my mom and I decided to try it out.  The starter kit cost me $50 and included the LED Lamp, Gel Cleaner, Gel Primer, Gel Base and Top Coat, Gel Polish in the color Pink Chiffon, Lint-free wipes, a Double sided Nail Buffer, and a Manicure Stick.  I also purchased another Gel Polish in the color Coral Sunset which cost me  $10.  The instructions were clear and detailed.  My mother used Coral Sunset and I used Pink Chiffon.  The polish is a bit harder to apply then a normal nail polish would be but I got the hang out it pretty quickly.  The whole process took about 30 minutes, longer then normal polish takes.  However unlike a normal manicure, the gel polish was completely dry after it was cured.  The finished manicure is smooth and shiny.  I really like how they turned out.  Sensationail boasts a manicure lasting up to 2 weeks.   I’ll give an update in a week or two letting you all know how they held up!

$30

Color: Deep Throat- described as peach with shimmer

This is by far the best blush I have ever owned.  It is a peachy pink with a little bit a shimmer.  The shimmer is nice but not too overpowering. It’s super pigmented and a little goes a long way.  This blush stays on all day and looks great!  The packaging is sleek and attractive and has a mirror which is great when I’m retouching my makeup on the go! I dropped this blush about a week ago and it shattered which I’m super upset about but I will definitely be repurchasing.

I found a dupe for this color that is pretty similar. Kohl’s Flirt! Peek-A-Blush in the color 21 Pink Tutu is a good alternative if Deep Throat is too expensive or you’re not close to a store that sells Nars.  The staying power isn’t as great but it’s not bad and the cost is $14.50, half as much as Nars Deep Throat!  It comes with a brush.  DO NOT use it! It picks up way too much product and  is just a bad brush.

You know that product you’ve been dying to try but don’t know if it’s worth it.  Let me know and I’ll review it for you! I’ll give you my honest opinion and let you know if I think it’s worth it!  Seriously! You can even give me your skin type, hair color, etc, and I’ll try it on people with traits similar to you!

My junior year of high school was when my acrylic nail obsession started.  Every two weeks I would head to the nail salon and get some crazy design on nails that were too long to do basic tasks.  I had acrylic nails on for about 2 years.  It cost about $30 including the tip.  That is $780 a year on just my nails!  And I worked a minimum wage job.  So eventually i decided to part with my acrylic nails.  My real nails were extremely damaged and very weak.  But after months of diligent care my nails have improved somewhat.  I will never use acrylic nails again just because of how damaging they can be and how much the cost adds up over time.  When I have an important event to go to I get a gel manicure now.  Otherwise I paint my own nails!

$7.44 ( prices vary depending on where you buy it)

Color: Light

With it being finals week I’ve been super busy!  I haven’t been getting enough sleep and definitely haven’t been treating my skin right.  This BB cream is a lifesaver!  It blurs all the imperfections on my skin and is really hydrating. And it takes me 10 seconds to do which means I can sleep in just a little bit longer.  Then I throw on some concealer and powder and I’m out the door!

So I am going to get my first tattoo this Saturday!  I’m super excited!! But I’m also really nervous.  I don’t have a very high pain tolerance!  But this is something I have wanted for a really long time and it means a lot to me!  Really, I’m just wondering what are your opinions on tattoos?  Do you have any?  Do you judge people that do? How much do they hurt?  I appreciate any advice you have for me! And I promise I’ll put up a picture as soon as it’s done!

$2.99 (but you can find it cheaper depending on what drugstore you go to)

Color: Sunny

I started using this bronzer when I was a freshman in high school! That is almost 5 years ago.  This is a great bronzer.  Often people shy away from drugstore cosmetics, fearing they’ll break them out or they just aren’t as good as high end cosmetics.  But this bronzer is phenomenal.  I have used a ton of both high end and drugstore bronzer.  This is second only to Nars Laguna Bronzer.  But it really is great.  When I don’t have the extra money lying around this is my go to bronzer!

$38

Color: Laguna- described as brown with golden shimmer

This is my favorite bronzer.  I am extremely pale in the winter and I hate it. But with this bronzer I look like i just got back from a lovely beach vacation.  It is described as having a golden shimmer, however I don’t really see the shimmer in it which is great because super shimmery bronzer over your entire face is strange looking.  The only downside to this product is the price.  Its pretty expensive.  If you can, I recommend the splurge.  But if not, check back soon.  I’ll  review a drugstore bronzer that’s really great!

I have pretty sparse eyebrows.  Like wax once a year sparse.  A few years ago that wasn’t really a big deal.  In fact, it was great because i didn’t have to spend $15 every two weeks and never had to pluck.  But now thick and defined eyebrows are very trendy.  What are the girls with thin eyebrows to do?  Sure, filling in your eyebrows helps but my eyebrow game will never be as strong as Lily Collins!  And the drawn on eyebrow look is worse then no eyebrows at all!

Here’s what I do:

I have accepted that I cannot achieve extremely thick eyebrows.  And I’m okay with that. I make sure to shape my eyebrows in a way that flatters my face shape!  I fill my eyebrows in with the Anastasia Beverley Hill brow wiz in soft brown ($21).  I set them with Anastasia brow gel ($22).  And while they don’t look really thick they definitely look more defined.

While not everyone can achieve the super thick and defined eyebrow look, we can all achieve well groomed, attractive eyebrows!

$18

Color: Divine- described as a true pink flamingo

When I first saw this I fell in love.  The color is beautiful and bright and it was definitely not something I already had in my collection.  And the fact that it is 100% vegan and cruelty free was lovely.  However this is a product I find incredibly difficult to apply.  The texture is very sticky and the brush included with it is terrible.  I know there are people who absolutely love them but i’m not one of them.  No matter what I tried i could not get it to apply correctly.  I might just be doing it wrong but unless I figure out a better way to apply this it will remain in the back of my collection.

$19 but right now they only cost $17.10!

Favorite Colors: Barely Legal, Erotic

These are my HG lip glosses.  They stay on for hours but aren’t too sticky.  They have a wide array of colors so there’s a shade for everyone! Some people don’t like the smell but I personally love it.

The packaging is adorable with large jewels on the top.  Definitely recommended to everyone!

Truly Madly Deeply palette by colorpop and shade Roy Gi Biv

Ive been looking for a mostly pink palette that wasnt terrible for the longest and finally found one! Color pop eyeshadows are always so pigmented and never look caked. Im also getting the PUR Cosmetics trolls pop palette, the tiny one. Its all pink. Also its buy one get one free all may ❤ on the PUR website.

My fav colors are the thick glittery ones. There are one of the best thick glitter eyeshadows ive ever applied. They give a clean glittery crease.

You can barely notice the first 2 shades because they blend in with my pale complexion. I need a tan, as well as any suggestions on self tanners for the body and face .-.

I like to put a peel off mask on my cheeks to catch all the glitter and powder that falls when applying.

P.S the purple shades come out as dusty pink and rose shades.

ThisTarte set is one of the birthday gifts at Sephora this year. As most years, I wasn’t particularly into any of the birthday gifts. The blush is a nice neutral colour, but I really hate the feel of lip gloss, and the colour is really neutral when I want something intense and bright.

Both of these are fine, but there’s something so generic about the birthday gifts that I’m never really excited about them. :/ I gave this set to a friend.

I’d been using a pretty basic drug store powder as a second-last step in my routine for awhile, but I’d been using a pretty basic drug store powder as a second-last step in my routine for awhile, but

I’d been using a pretty basic drug store powder as a second-last step in my routine for awhile, but when it ran out I wanted to see if I could get something better. Right now my routine (after skincare) is basically primer, cushion, powder, setting spray. My goal with the powder is to just fill in my pores a little bit more and matte everything. (My setting spray is also matte.)

I tried a Nyx compact but since they didn’t have a translucent one, I found the colour instead seemed to highlight my pores (gross) and it really didn’t last all day. So instead I picked up this Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder at Sephora.

I know it looks bone white in the picture, but it goes on basically invisible, which is amazing, and the compact itself is super cute. I do not use the weird, useless puff that came with it, and instead apply this with a broad brush like I’m guessing people use for blush.

They pitch this powder as fighting shine, absorbing oil, and generally keeping things matte. And I love it. It works exactly like they say, and I’ve found that in combination with my setting spray, it takes a lot longer for that thing to happen where your glasses rub makeup off on the bridge of your nose, making two lines on either side of the red marks. ~___~ So yeah, that’s an improvement. I’ve also found I get less oily during the day, or it takes a lot longer.

Success! I am super happy with this, and if you’re looking for something similar I’d say it’s worth a shot.
