I’m continuing the December makeup challenge even though it’s April now. Mostly because I want to! This time it was CAT EYE and I drew a heavy inspiration from @itsblackfriday with my own twist on the eyebrows :)
I’m pretty sure you’ve seen this product all over social media lately – so naturally, I had to go out and try it for myself.
TheMaybelline Tattoo Brow is available in the UK in three different shades: light brown, medium brown and dark brown. Unfortunately when I went into my local Superdrug the only shade available was medium brown (however this is a pretty good match for me) and it cost £12.99.
Now you’re probably thinking that’s a pretty steep price for a drugstore eyebrow product, but it is a brow tint that can last up to three days so for me, the price is worth it.

The consistency of the product is quite thick but fairly easy to work with. I found that using a bit of pressure when applying the tint works better as it will tint all the hairs underneath too! It is recommended that you leave the product on for 20 minutes (or until it’s completely dry) if you only want it to last a day or so. I personally put this product on first before doing the rest of my face!
You can also leave the product on for at least two hours if you want it to last for 3 days!

You can see in the above photos that the Maybelline Tattoo Brow filled in all of my sparse areas and made them look slightly fuller and darker! This is perfect for anyone who likes a natural looking brow, although if you like a more dramatic brow this could work for you too, but it doesn’t give that natural fading effect (definitely could be achieved with the use of a pencil though).
I left the product on my brows for about 30-45 minutes and it definitely lasted 2 whole days! I suppose the longevity depends on how you clean your face and the products you use etc.
All in all I do think this a product I will continue to use and repurchase! You can get yours here or from your local Maybelline stockist.

I came across these Maybelline Colorshow Nail Tattoos at the pharmacy the other day, and I figured I’d give them a try! They were easy to apply, and three days in they are holding up well.

With it being finals week I’ve been super busy! I haven’t been getting enough sleep and definitely haven’t been treating my skin right. This BB cream is a lifesaver! It blurs all the imperfections on my skin and is really hydrating. And it takes me 10 seconds to do which means I can sleep in just a little bit longer. Then I throw on some concealer and powder and I’m out the door!
Lipstick… we all probably have a love/hate relationship with it. You put it on, it looks gorgeous. Then you go out and first thing you know, it smudged on your sleeve or half of it stuck to your coffee cup.
In the line of my personal favorites, Maybelline’s matte lip ink is DA BEST! Once it dried, it stays. Just apply wait a few minutes, kiss a tissue to remove the excess and you will have flawless lips for the whole day! They have a nice collection of colors and it is available in every drugstore for about 10-12$ CAD and is often on sale for about 10$.
Smudge proof, transfer proof… you can have your coffee or kiss your lover all day: it’s not going anywhere!

That being said, you all know I have worked with L’Oréal a few times in the past on different campaigns for Mizani,MaybellineandDark & Lovely. I think one of the main things that draws me to the brand is the fact that they stay giving back! Although I haven’t received any products from them recently (hint hint ;) ), I can’t get too mad because their CSR is always on-point.
Last week, for their Citizen’s Day (which I have had the privilege of attending at some point in my life - 2010? maybe) they cleaned up one of the busiest beaches in Ghana - La Beach. It was a great way for their staff to interact with the local community (my people) as well as bond and interact with one another outside the office (because we all know that can be a drag).
