It took for about 3 hours to get to the tip of the cape. We had the lobster rolls at The Skipper Chowder House in South Yarmouth, and then drove 1 more hour to get to Provincetown.
They had a cozy front yard to enjoy the sunshine, I felt like I should take some “ look where I’m staying ” kind of photo ;)
Also they serve fresh pancakes and waffles along with coffee, tea, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, bagels etc for breakfast. I had a fresh waffle and it was amazing!
I love wisteria, but it is hard to find a good place to enjoy the color and smell in the US compare to in Japan. There are so many awesome wisteria gardens in Japan. I especially would love to go visit Kawachi-Fujien 河内藤園 when I get a chance to go back to my country…
Anyway, Ptown has many decent wisteria tree, and this one was in someone’s yard, and looked the best I’ve ever seen in MA!
The tower is Pilgrim Monument. Actually Ptown was the very first place where the Mayflower Pilgrims landed. The owner of the guest house told us the story; “ but there was no flesh water so they needed to look for another place to settle down.”

In recent years I’ve noticed several new directing names emerge - names that are tied with the horror genre, but these filmmakers are reaching for something deeper than typical genre pieces. Ari Aster, Jordan Peele, Julia Ducournau, David Lowery and Robert Eggers just to name a few.
Midsommar is one of the best of these hybrid horror films. Beautifully shot, gripping, and taken to a macabre and frenzied conclusion - it’s kind of a stunning and fearless movie. It’s still content to call itself horror (almost a safety blanket), but dig a bit deeper and see hints of Haneke, Bergman and David Lynch all there.
Also I’m glad that somebody finally realized that The Haxan Cloak is an ideal artist to enlist for dark film scores.
