Ecco.

“I decided to shoot in black and white because I wanted to make an art film for young people, and black and white gives a quality of poetic realism. I didn’t just leave it to the script to tell the story – I also used camera angles, lighting and soundtrack to stimulate a young audience into loving the form as much as I did. I was disappointed when they didn’t rush to see it. But it’s pleasing its appeal has endured. It was the film I really wanted to make.

I like its strong visual motifs, such as the sequences with the sped-up cloud movement. I’ve always been fascinated by the unreliability of time, shown by the sweeping shadows as the sun and moon make their way across our sky.”

Mickey Rourke has seemingly reignited his alleged long-running feud with Robert De Niro.

Taking to Instagram, The Wrestler star claimed he would “embarrass” the Raging Bull actor “severely” should they ever meet in public.

Elsewhere in the social media smack down, Rourke hit out at the Oscar winner for reported comments about the star’s character.

“Hey Robert De Niro, that’s right i am talking to you, you big f**king crybaby,” he wrote on Instagram. “A friend of mine just recently told me that a few months back you’re quoted as saying to newspapers ‘Mickey Rourke’s a liar he talks all kind of s**t’.

“Listen Mr. Tough Guy in the movies, you’re the 1st person that ever called me a liar and it was in a newspaper,” he added.

Rourke claimed in September that he was blocked from appearing in The Irishman after De Niro refused to work with him.

“The casting person told my manager that Robert De Niro said he refused to work with me in a movie, he said during an appearance on Italian TV show Live — Non è la D’Urso.

However, a spokesperson for De Niro previously said Rourke was never in the mix.

“Mickey Rourke was never asked to be in The Irishman nor was he ever even thought of, discussed or considered to be in the movie,” De Niro’s rep Jane Rosenfield said in a statement to The New York Post.

Rourke, whose apparent feud with De Niro goes back three decades, also claimed he had been snubbed by the actor when they both appeared in Alan Parker’s 1987 film Angel Heart.

De Niro has yet to address the social media post.
