So, for those of you who purchased the zine PDF - it should currently be available in a download link that came from the Gumroad store, sent to the email associated with your purchase!
However, we did just upload the PDF zine to Gumroad recently for PDF+physical-content bundles. Thus, if you have previously received a link to download digital content, the PDF zine should now also be available for download using that same link.
If you did NOT receive a previous email, and you don’t get one soon - please let us know so we can get your PDF copy to you right away!
Hello all! We want to let everyone who’s followed our progress here at Milestones know that we are so, so grateful for your support – especially to those who have already placed their preorders of the Milestones Zine! As we’ve watched the orders come in, we’re making plans about the best way to get everything printed and shipped off to our fellow Killugon fans.
However, there’s something we want to make everyone aware of:
The availability of printed, physical zines is entirely dependent on the number of preorders we get. The more orders we get, the more cost effective it will be to get zines printed. However, we need to meet a minimum of orders so the cost of printing and shipping the zines doesn’t exceed the funds we have available – funds that come from the merch orders and preorders. As of yet, we have not met this minimum. We still have about another 3 weeks before preorders are open, so it’s quite possible we will reach our minimum within that time frame. However, we wanted to inform those of you who have placed orders what we’re considering if we don’t meet our minimum requirement to print zines.
Option 1 We extend the preorder time! If you’re interested in ordering one of the bundles that includes the physical copy, but can’t before the end of February, let us know. If there’s enough interest, we’ll extend the deadline to allow more time for orders.
Option 2 We send partial refunds while still providing PDFs and merch to those who paid. If we can’t afford to send out physical zines, we’re not going to make anyone pay for a physical zine, so if we choose this option we’ll send back partial refunds, but make sure that you still get the PDF for Milestones as well as the merch if you purchased either of the higher bundles. Merch production isn’t going to be adversely affected by the number of preorders because the pricing isn’t as steep as it is for a full-color art book.
Let us know what you think! If you want us to extend orders, let us know and we’ll take that into account. In the meantime, please spread word that preorders are available! Thought I’d share the art I did for the milestones on my fandom blog. By total accident I ended up doing each one in a different style, though all were in Manga/Clip Studio (and all are shining examples of me being too lazy to deal with color hahaha).
Not just another border crossing. Northbound AT thru-hikers get thru several states early in their hike. Then they hit Virginia. Over 538 miles. Just about one quarter of the trail. Someone coined the phrase “Virginia Blues” for the length of time one spends in the “long green tunnel,” with few of the panoramic views they got further south on the mountain tops of Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
And for most, they hit the 1000 mile point on the same day!
Sophie is standing on her own with support now! She also still only has two teeth but I’m fine with that cause her sleep has slightly improved. She now is only waking up twice, maybe three times, as opposed to 3-4 and sometimes more every night.
She turns 9 months on Monday and I just can’t believe it. My baby is growing so fast and I am so proud of her but also sad because soon she won’t be a baby anymore.
I drank a whole bottle of wine by myself tonight for the first time ever. Of course, there was that time I did 8 shots of Tequila in 20 minutes and ended up thinking I was the Archbishop of Canterbury and that my friend was the Archbishop of York and that the Anglican Communion was falling apart because of me–but that was totally different.
This was great fun to just play through without having to worry about physically exerting myself or any other nonsense. What an enjoyable experience. I hope to go back and snap ‘em all one day but for now we’re moving onward and into a blind playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!
I’ve never played it before so I will be learning how to do everything first hand instead of translating prior knowledge to dance pad output! I’m in for a bumpy ride!
Another season passes and my AGDQ/SGDQ tribute event has once again been an amazing experience. This time around I decided to stick with a theme of only playing Mario games.
Amazingly I was able to overcome all 5 of them in under 5 hours, beating my previous PB in Super Mario Sunshine by nearly 40 minutes!
DKC Tropical Freeze is a great game that in my opinion has a flawed control scheme preventing me from truly enjoying it. I spent so much time fighting its mechanics that I couldn’t appreciate the rest of the game for what it is, which is a vibrant, varied and ultimately challenging and beautiful game. I won’t miss this game by any means but I can appreciate it for what it is.
