Last night I got on the phone with a couple of friends, quarantined far away. There was an underlaying sense of anxiety and uncertainty for the future in our talk. Loneliness too, even if surrounded by others. The virus kept creeping up. They are not dealing very well with this sudden change of pace and way of living. I realized that although I am managing, after all I am quite comfortable at home and I have tons of art supplies, I do miss going to the woods or the freedom to say…hey I do want to go outside and see people today. So to all those who are having a hard time these days, I can’t offer you solutions nor many words of advice, but here is a bouquet of fantasy flowers. From my hands, with a sencere wish of calmness and warmth, to you.
This too, shall pass.

Speaking of easy crops: redbeets!! I have never had issues with redbeets. And once I learnt you can eat root, stalk AND leaves… I was totally sold!! what else do you want than a crop that can provide so much food for so little effort! If you don’t have a garden with earth, you can try to make one raised bed (1m2) or deep flowerpots. The more ground, the bigger they get.
