I’ve been wondering for a long time about how Mitsuba feels about resurrection. I mean, since in chapter 59 it was revealed that there is no need for the people to be resurrected to have necessarily died from the virus from eight years ago (as Tomoe died from a different cause and she still can be revived) and how there is not even a need for the body to be there to be resurrected (since everyone’s bodies must have been decomposed in these 8 years) then I am right to assume literally anyone who is simply dead can be revived right? So I wonder why do Yuu, Kimizuki, Yoichi and Narumi keep talking about wanting to revive their respective loved ones but Mitsuba never mentions anything about wanting to revive her old squad?
This is so underrated (like everything about Mitsuba in general) that I wanted to make a post about it. So here are the things that I like about their friendship :)
1) Yuu knows how to deal with her temper instead of trying to butt heads with her. Guess when it comes to two hotheads, the balance has to choose one to be the mature one
2) The fact that he said that both of them will work through it together implies that he wanted to help Mitsuba and was ready to listen to everything that troubled her so much. that rare time Yuu was actually the psychologist
3) The fact that Mitsuba told Yuu the top brass suspects he might be a traitor and she was told to spy on him and instead of being alarmed Yuu just nonchalantly looks at his side and then smiles at her because he is not worried since he knows Mitsuba won’t betray him. miss bishōnen Yuu
4) Again, despite having known her for the least amount of time out of everyone in the squad, Yuu trusts her and she trusts him back. He also seems to respects her.
5) Them being silly, Mitsuba making Yuu laugh plus that exchange of ‘bakas’. Also the cute chibis <3
6) He noticed her change of mood despite there being many people in the same place and when they are walking beside Aoi it feels as if Yuu is turning his face back to check where Aoi is going for Mitsuba’s safety.
7) The fact that Mitsuba was finally able to thanks Yuu unlike in the beginning. This parallel…don’t tell me Kagami didn’t do this intentionally…
8) She was the only one who stayed with Yuu when he was being experimented on. Also, mature Yuu dissolving Mitsuba’s anger comes back again.
9) Their relationship has become so calm. All it took was for Mitsuba to calm down from how she was at the beginning.
10)Even if it wasn’t the most appropriate moment her laughing at his ugly face✨ Like, if Kagami makes Mitsuba canonically in love with Yuu it will drive me nuts. I deserve a healthy platonic male/female friendship in this misogynistic mess that is OnS.
Something that I have been wondering for a long time is why Mitsuba is not loyal to the Hīragi family despite having been taught the same Mikado no Oni values as Aoi?
Mitsuba did as Shinoa said and lied to the Hīragis when saying she did not see anything about Yuu’s transformation when she should have told the truth out of clan duty.
She even disobeyed direct orders from Kureto and immediately told Yuu she was told to spy on him when she should have kept that a secret and wow, just right in front of his office door
Shinoa, Shinya and Mahiru saw first hand how cruel their own family is so that’s why they are not loyal to them. The rest of Mikado no Oni are absolutely crazy about them, putting them on a pedestal, as if they are Gods. Even Mito, who treated Mahiru like the kindest goddess ever at the beginning, and Goshi, who wasn’t a fanatic like the rest but still was loyal, only started to become disloyal after meeting and siding with Guren, getting to see the true, sadistic side of the Hīragis in the process.
So even if Mitsu is from a different generation to these people, she also had this indoctrination but she behaves in a completely different way. So I wonder what kind of event made her see them as the “really scary people” they actually are?
What kind of event made her see them as the incorrect people they actually are rather than Gods?
And even when Aoi asked Mitsuba’s agreement about the Sangū Clan’s values of dying for the Hīragis, Mitsuba was unable to agree with this.
So, why does Mitsuba value her own life and her squad above the Hīragis? Why is she not brainwashed?
Ok so I know that many people are mad at shinoa squad for continuing to support Guren although he has done lot of bad stuff. I have the read the light novels and I like guren and let me tell yall he was manipulated to trigger the catastrophe and I know that he has done things like killing mika and being involved in the death of Yu’s family. However, I think that he might turn out to be the hero at the end of the day and those things he did were for a reason and I am sure it will be explained in the future chapters. As far as Shinoa squad is concerned, they are continuing to follow Guren’s instructions which makes people mad but do they really have a choice?
Is there any other ADULT in these circumstances that they can trust and hope for to guide them on what’s going on? Ferid is not trustworthy at all. Krul was an option which the squad considered but she is on Guren’s side. Ferid is also on Guren’s side. Shikamadouji says he wants to rescue Mika but Krul said that he wants to use him in his experments. He ordered the black demons to capture Mika’s soul and they were planning to literally crush his heart and take him into themselves or something like that. He also possessed Shinoa so they won’t trust him. Now, yall might say Narumi but I think Narumi would side with guren because he wants his squad to be resurrected so he will not rebel against him.
People have been planning things behind their backs and they have little to no idea about it. Before the catastrophe, there was a lot of political shit that happened between the two largest magical organisations of Japan, the Order of the Imperial Demons and the Hyakuya Sect which is given in detail in the light novels. Mika, Yuu, Kimizuki and Yoichi were all civilians before the catastrophe and don’t know anything about these magical organisations and their strength. Mitsuba is a Sanguu but wasn’t involved in the war between these 2 organisations at all. Shinoa was part of this war with Guren but even she was unaware of many things that were going on. They were only 8 years old at that time.
They have known Guren for 4 years and atleast for now, he is the only one on whom they can rely on to give them information. There is no one else who can guide them currently.
I get serious men in black vibes every time I see this panel XDD. I really wished Kagami sensei could have introduced some of the hyakuya sect members. I mean there was that dude with the demon weapon (jigenso) which Ferid killed. (Lol) But I really want to get to know the depth of this organisation and it’s memebers. What Rigrs been up to? How did he convince people to join his cult? And why are there vampires loyal to him? (Basteya and Caek) is this because there not fond of Sika’s laws towards vampire society. Plus the 5th progenitor In WRA19 clearly stated that Rigr is his master, but why isn’t he loyal to Urd I wonder?
