There’s no doubt that the Darkburger is a good healing item – +70hp is pretty reliable! But, depending on a character’s preference, you can do a little better. Particularly this is important with the items you can buy infinite times. As such, this doesn’t count one-time items such as the TopCake.
Choco Diamond:
- Kris: +80 HP
- Susie: +20 HP (”THAT’S it?”)
- Ralsei: +50 HP (”Aww, thanks, Kris!”)
In Chapter 1, don’t feed your ChocDiamonds to Susie – save them for Kris!
- Noelle: +35 HP to both her and Kris (”Umm, it’s ok, Kris, I’ll share…”)
However, if you still have ChocoDiamonds in Chapter 2, you can actually use the item to heal both Kris and Noelle when they are in a party together!
Hearts Donut:
- Kris: +20 HP
- Susie: +80 HP (”Mmm, blood!”)
- Ralsei: +50 HP (”Aah, sticky…”)
In Chapter 1, don’t feed your HeartsDonuts to Kris – save them for Susie!
- Noelle: +30 HP (”Mmm… what!? It’s blood!?”)
This remains true in Chapter 2. Noelle may gain more health than Kris, but not by much.
Ralsei is neutral to both foods and heals +50, making Darkburger the best (infinitely buyable) item you can feed him.
… according to Susie, you pronounce his name as “ralsay”!
To see this, be sure to re-read Ralsei’s editable CYBERPEDIA entry!
What to call the alternate route in Chapter 2?
(deltarune spoilers)
Unlike Chapter 1, Deltarune’s Chapter 2 has an alternate route that involves finishing off enemies. This was impossible in the first chapter because enemies usually run, but now…
As much as we love the pun, it flew over some people’s head. A few people also pointed out that there is actually a name for the route in the code, which I have confirmed today. (Unlike the “genocide route”, which was never used in Undertale!)
With our preference for canon, we will be using the name:
Weird Route

Unlike Chapter 1, Deltarune’s Chapter 2 has an alternate route that involves finishing off enemies. This was impossible in the first chapter because enemies usually run, but now…
You have a party member who can literally freeze them in their tracks!
People are calling this the “genocide route”, but that doesn’t really make sense since not all enemies can be killed. Only those you encounter with Noelle can be finished off.
Another name that has been flying around is the “snowgrave route”, but that is a pretty big spoiler!
That’s why we would like people to consider using the “snow mercy route” instead. Not only is it a great pun, but it hints that you need to use snow/ice!
For this blog, we will be tagging and using the name “snow mercy route” to refer to the alternate route in Chapter 2!
tl;dr:
Snow Mercy Route
update:
We will be using “weird route” since it’s used in the game’s code!

Regarding Eruto’s deltablogging postthat just went up. (Eruto and Minty, do NOT look under here.)
Minty is so proud she beat Spamton NEO, but she doesn’t know about Spamton NEO’s battle in the alternate route.
That was PAIN. I managed to beat every battle without a Game Over until this one. (Except I skipped Spamton NEO’s extra boss battle in the main route, whoops!) But I managed to win after taking a dinner break!
AND WOW, I cannot wait to talk all about the stuff in the alternate route. Toby really said let’s get dark.
I need Minty and Eruto to experience this already!
