Hello! So I bought some new products this month and I love them so I thought I’d do a quick post on it.

1) Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo and Intensive Conditioning Mask

Ok so, I have used Herbal Essences in the past and my old favourite used to be the Beautiful Ends range. however after switching to L'oreal Elvive for a while and then coming back to it a while later I found it incredibly disappointing, especially the Intensive Mask (I always use these instead of conditioners), it was so thin I used it all in no time at all and really didn’t feel like a mask. Due to monetary issues when buying some new stuff I noticed the Bee Strong range was on offer and thought I would give it a try and I love it!. It smells fantastic, first time I used I actually had a proper “Herbal Essences moment” like they show in the ads. Its a sort of sweet tropical smell, honey and pineapple like.  I actually sit and smell my hair all the time now (yes it is as weird as it sounds but its so nice!). The mask has a good thick texture so you really don’t need much. It leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny and not weighed down like some products for damaged hair do. Overall 5/5.

2)L'oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing Milk and Day Moisturiser

To start with the Cleansing Milk: it promises to remove make up and impurities and reveal silky hydrated skin. I find it take quite alot of product and cotton wool to satisfactorily remove my make up which is a downside as it is slow and feels wasteful. However I have never used a milk cleanser before, being a fan of facewashs but moving away from my soft water home to the harsh hard water of Brighton was a nightmare for my skin so I had to change my routine. The milk is definately gentle and didn’t sting my dry skin at all and as it promised to made it feel hydrated and smooth. Most amazingly it didn’t break me out which I was certain would happen due to the weight of the product and my uncertainty of how much make up was really coming off. It really feels like its protecting and helping your skin. Sometimes I put this on before I have a shower and it stops the hard water drying out my skin so much. My only downside apart from the amount of product you have to use is that it can be a bit oily on the Tzone before you put on make up. 4/5

The Correcting Day Moisturiser: promises to tighten pores and improve skins texture. Amazingly I find that it actually does these things! It feels lovely on and makes make up go on like a dream. This isn’t surprising as the cream contains Silica, most commonly found in primers. This does make me a little hesitant about using it as a night cream as well. I’m still unsure about how it sits with my sensitive skin, at first I was convinced I was allergic to the chemical composition but it seems to be ok now my skin has healed a bit more. It is moisturising but I do have to use another intensive moisturiser as well. Over all good but I bought it on offer and not convinced I would repurchase at full price. 3.75/5

3) Models Own Nail Polish in Ice Neon- Pukka Purple-

I absolutely love this colour! I have been surprised how long it has taken me to find a bright purple nail polish and finally the search is over. With this I was a little disappointed with the brush which wasn’t as easy to use as some on cheaper polishes. It is seeming fairly chip resistant, however its about on a par with my Sinful Colours ones which cost £1.99. What I will say as it only needs a couple of coats for a really thick good coverage. Despite being unsure of the cost for the price I will still give this 5/5 as so in love with it.

4) L'oreal Nude Magique BB Powder

This is another product that I am in love with. Unlike the packaging the powder itself is not white, just a very light skin colour (mine is for light skin so go figure). It promises to give skin a velvety texture and it does just that, it seems to improve the look of make up without compromising the colour and has the perfect level of matte with luminosity when used with my Lumi Magique foundation. I have never used a pressed powder that feels so nice on the skin or so finely milled. 5/5 and definite repurchase, catch it now in Boots on an introductory offer!

5) Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer

This is another product I got on a great introductory offer at Boots and first saw in Glamour Magazine. I have never used a serum primer before so really didn’t know what to expect. I was tied between the Luminous skin primer and the Matte because I was worried that the matte one may dry out my skin but I opted for it anyway because as I said above the L'oreal Cleansing Milk made my tzone oily. Firstly it is actually acceptable to use with dry skin despite the slightly alcoholic smell of the liquid. It definitely does provide a great airbrushed look, much more so than other clear silica primers I have used in the past, it also holds my make up on so it lasts all day with much less settling into fine lines than I have experienced before. So all pluses there. However I find it quite difficult to use as when layering silica products (like my moisturiser above) it tends to ball up really badly which is a massive pain in the arse. This means I have to put my moisturiser on far in advance and be very careful to be gentle and pat the serum into my skin rather than any rubbing motion. Same again when apply my foundation, once the serum has sunk in it mattified my foundation so quickly that was also a bit difficult to blend. This does really work and looks so lovely with liquid and mineral foundation (which its much easier to use with) but it does take extra time and practice. If you consider purchasing it I would maybe check your moisturiser and foundation for silica so that you don’t have any disasters. 3.5/5 but would repurchase.

You can never go wrong with flowers. These are so easy to do, they’re literally 6 dots. I really like the colors I used, they go well together.

I was inspired by Samrosenails on Instagram for this nail art.

CHEVRONS & TRIANGLES ON PASTEL ~

I wasn’t going for that design in the beginning but I’m pretty satisfied with the result. This nail art was very easy to do.

I did some pastel chevrons on a black base for my pointer and middle fingernails. For my ring and pinky fingernails, I used the dry brush technique for the background with the same pastel colors and I did some black triangles and chevrons.
