finished this yesterday! been slow with personal work, as i’ve been mostly focused on commissions (and still am lol). fortunately, i’ve got some time on my hands now and that means it’s back to creating ☺️
edaxtrus veil, the primary antagonist of the ekanox. i wanted to make some slight changes to his design, this was intended more as a texture study than a proper ref sheet, which i hope to complete.. eventually. as i work on the main plot of the story behind the scenes, edaxtrus has become a significant character in the story. in time i will be sharing more about the story with you all, including the pilot script!

I have not been active here in a long time. I had many things to do aside from contract work. Here is an illustration that I did at the end of 2020 for a card game titled Key of Ijzeria. The name of the card is Prying eye. I have been doing a couple of illustrations and it’s really fun.

Hey, it’s been a while! I’ve been taking a break from social media.
Here is a second GM screen artwork that I did for Arkelon Chronicles, an upcoming RPG game. I had to paint a protest scene involving multiple characters, it was a nice challenge. There is only one image left to show but it hasn’t been revealed yet ;)

I thought it was only appropriate for me to bring things to a close by featuring my favorite and most featured artist. Virginie Juteau @hydraart is not only an incredibly gifted creator of monsters, but has also been continually supportive of this contest over the years. I couldn’t resist featuring one more of this artist’s incredible creations.

Pokemon hybrids you have never seen before!
You thought the Galarian fossils were ridiculous? I raise you this new challenge I tried with my Twitch chat. Eight attributes from eight random Pokemon and my artistic skill put to a test. Results and interpretations vary but I sure as heck gave it my best.

CUNUSAUR, the Desert Thorn Pokémon
Living in the driest and most desolate of locations, CUNUSAUR is a master of survival. The symbiosis with the aloe plant ensures that this Pokémon will always have a water reserve at hand. This also makes it very sought after and vulnerable - to other Pokémon and humans.
However it’s not defenseless. It stays burrowed into the ground most of the time and if a potential predator comes too close it unleashes its attack. If that isn’t enough the thorns and the Rough Skin on its body will surely give the opponent a hard time.
