gfanz4ever:

Per the books, the Guys’ names are

  • Moe Wolf
  • Lou Shark
  • Stevie Tarantula
  • Pepe Piranha

Snake’s the only one without a given name.

The Bad Guys scribbles from story pitch meetings-see more

(From left to right):

Image 1- Marmalade’s typical night at home Image 2 - With Marmalade distracted, the gang easily sneaks out of his compound. Image 3 - “How to be good” ideas. Sharing ice cream to kids in the neighborhood. Image 4 - Sharing fail! Image 5 - Thumbnail sketches of the gang at home. Idea: Wolf can’t find the remote again and asks Tarantula where it’s at. Image 6 - Shark and Piranha race to use the bathroom first. Shark beats him to it. Image 7 - Wolf grabbing a bowl of cereal in the kitchen while chatting with Snake. Image 8 - Kitten doodles. Image 9 - Snake goes real Bad. How far can we push this anger towards his best friend? Final image - Bad Guys consumerism consumes all.

wolfnanaki:

Shark is the middle child, and he just wants everybody to be happy in the family. He can’t stand arguments and tries to balance everybody’s feelings to keep the mood positive. I think it’s because he comes from a very bloody past – being a shark – and has seen so many awful things that this family represents everything he wants: a quiet, safe zone. He loves all of them, and he wants everyone to love one another. That’s his goal for the family. He is just a big guy trying to move around in a world not designed for his size. Shark is the gentle giant of the group, the people-pleaser of the bunch. He also loves his disguises as [they] allow him to be around people without scaring them.

Personally, if a man looked at me with bedroom eyes like that for 24/7 and then call me a liability to his growth, I will straight up bite him

(and I think it’s weirdly cute that Snake just wants him to apologize, maybe because he knows he’s not the only one hurts from that (their children))

Shark: I guess I’m just too tough to cry.

Tarantula: Just today you were crying over Snake.

Shark: He doesn’t have any arms!

Repost, because the tags didn’t work.

Talked about it before, but the creators of the bad guys movie did say that Wolf and Snake are parents of the group in a few interviews:

I edited two different interviews in a single video so you guys can see them talk about the bad guys being a family, and about Wolf and Snake being parents (mom & dad) of the group.

There’s also this interview where they talk about it.

(I know I didn’t draw Ms. Tarantula but I didn’t have references at the moment and she deserves a cute drawing)
