Hi so this is my third time remaking this post and now I am officially a broke college student. I moved in last Friday and am living on campus. My scholarship/grant covered most of my bill leaving my remaining balance at over 1k which thanks to donations, I have been able to pay half of. Technically it is due on the 5th but I am working on getting it extended. I am also waiting to hear back about work study. I’m short 100 because I had to rent textbooks. (If anyone knows how to get them online please let me know)

In addition to this my old dinky laptop is on its last leg. Notice how I am using a wireless keyboard bc none of the actual keys work. Notice how the bottom is coming apart and how the mouse pad is completely lifted. Also notice how it’s plugged in. That’s because it only stays on if it’s connected to the charger I found a replacement for 200 so in addition to the money that I need for college, I need a new laptop. So good news: the monthly payments I was making on some of the old loans finished paying them off this month, so in June I’ll have at least $200 of my own money to put towards bills.
I need $100 to help pay my rent (due May 3rd), $294 to pay my storage unit (due by May 9th), $200 to make payments on my mom’s catalog orders (most of which was medical stuff and things for the home to help with organizing; due at various points in May) and $159.93 for the car insurance (due May 9th). I also need to cover two $300 loans I need to pay off by June 3rd, and we need gas because I have a mammogram and an ultrasound and back x-rays I need to do this month, and my mother has an appointment with her plastic surgeon on Friday.
Even tiny amounts help! Most of the catalog bills are $25 - $40 a pop, and I can pay the loans and car insurance in small batches.

But after getting my new laptop charger ordered, my account is overdrawn $21, and I also need to buy cold supplies for me and my family, as my mother and son have come down with my cold and the OTC stuff was what the doctor I saw today recommended. If I can get $40, that would be a huge help.
So this is my current situation. I go in for surgery tomorrow morning (5 May 2022) for the orthopedic specialists to try to add pins, screws, plates, silverware, glassware, maybe a kitchen sink, etc. to try to keep my ankle rather ankle-shaped.
I registered for the surgery online. You have to make some sort of payment prior to treatment if it’s been scheduled like this, and this is what popped up:

It does not include the ten hours in the ER, will not include any medications, or follow up appointments, or therapies, or mobility aids, or anything else of that nature. I’m also expecting to be out of work for at least 6 more weeks… after missing this whole week.

♿ i am fucking terrified living here and i need to get out asap. it’s a sick goddamn joke that we would move here to escape abuse and end up next to someone who thinks its cool to physically attack her neighbours.
So I am having issues this month with paying rent. My rent and utilities recently went up the past couple months. Luckily I was able pay last months rent by dipping into my savings (not a lot but enough to help in case of an emergency). Unfortunately I didn’t really get to save much before it ran out.
While I have the majority of my rent saved from my wage I still need about $200 to cover the rest of my rent and my utilities.

Eli have been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) it’s a cancer of the bone marrow and blood and is one of the most aggressive forms of childhood cancer. We have been doing all we could financially to see our son out of this but the year haven’t been so good to us(with the whole covid-19 and lockdown thing). Many family members came through and supported(which we do not take for granted). But in last few weeks the support and help reduced drastically ( which is understandably due to the festive season plus the second phase if covid-19). After 16 years, I was finally able to leave my abusive home. However, I have been homeless and staying in hotels for about a month now. Because I live in a new state, I have to go through the process of establishing myself as a legal resident. Because of this, I’m currently not getting food stamps or other benefits, and because I don’t have a permanent residence address, I can’t apply for work.
My savings have been depleted to the point where I can’t afford to pay for another week. I’ve found a place to apply to for residence, but the paperwork is going to take at least the next week.
My stay for this week ends on Monday. If I don’t have funds for the next week’s stay, I will have no place to live.
I also need money for food and basic living supplies (toiletries etc.)
Update: I’ve received enough to stay for another week here, but as of yet there’s still no confirmation date for permanent housing. For the place I’m staying, I’m going to need $242 for the initial deposit, and another $242 for the first month’s rent and utilities. So, I’m going to keep this running.

One of my close friends was injured in a car accident a few days ago and they’re in bad shape. Car’s been totalled (all airbags deployed, plus it was a used car, less than 4 grand) but they desperately need one for their health and for work. They’re severely concussed and have other injuries, including whiplash.
They’re already disabled and are really suffering. They had to take unpaid leave from work to rest (job doesn’t have short term disability and they just started the position) and that means they’re short for rent. Insurance is giving them the runaround and it likely won’t pay out in time for them to pay their rent.
They were not at fault for the accident (since a lot of people on Twitter are apparently harassing them for that) and are too concussed to contact lawyers right now. They can barely read right now.
I can personally vouch for their status as a disabled person, for their character, their financial and support situation, and the severity of their injuries.
Hi friends, My close college buddy, someone I have known since we were kids, has cancer. She’s been supporting her parents financially, and she’s one of the kindest and most artistic souls I have ever known. Right now Allanah is fighting acute myeloid leukemia, and her hospital bills are TITANIC to say the least. Me and our other best friend, Mae, have been doing everything in our power to spread her gofundme. Since Allanah’s stay at the hospital, her hospital bills have accumulated to 400,000 pesos. It’s 7,779 usd- she hasn’t even been at the hospital for a MONTH. Her chemo costs 100,000 pesos per cycle, but she is taking a lot of meds to help keep her immune system strong. Right now Allanah’s legs are having complications with infections, and her fever is constant. She needs blood and platelet transfusions almost on the daily. Each platelet transfusion costs 30,000 philippine pesos. It’s insane. I want her to feel less scared, I want her to feel that recovery is possible. And right now, the very least that can be done to help keep her mental health strong is for us to continuously boost her gofundme, and to make sure that her treatment is not impossible, and so that she has one less thing to worry about so she can focus on getting stronger.
Allanah has always been the most talented artist in our friend group. I want her to sing and draw again. I want her to feel safe. Please help us keep our friend fighting. It would mean the world and beyond. Thank you for reading this far.

She can’t sleep or eat, and she is taking medication with side effects that give her nightmares instead of ones with less side effects because it’s cheaper. Allanah’s not doing so hot right now bc her immune system is nonexistent. Her bone marrow is still growing back. She’s getting seizures, stress response stimming, her muscles are so weak she can barely lift her arms and legs… both her parents are elderly. And we don’t have a lot of resources. Please. Allanah is suffering so much. She cannot even walk because her legs are filled with abscesses from infections due to her very weak immune system.
