Hey just watched THE movie of 2021 last week and I KNEW what needed to be DONE!!! So here’s a late/early gift for the Holidays in the My Hero Academia style, the only art style that fits :3
@fynn-the-fox you know what you did. You initiated the challenge and I accepted.
One comment lead to drawing Gang Orca and Aki in the art style of Dreamwork’s the Bad Guys. While I was drawing, I would be lying if I didn’t decide to make up a story to fit with the movie.
Mr. Orca (what I’m calling Gang Orca in this AU(?)) was an ex-crime boss who turned over a new leaf when he found a kid in an alleyway (Aki).
He’s had a few people try to take Aki away from him because they think he kidnapped her or is holding her hostage, when in truth Aki’s very comfortable with him being her Dad and would rather be with him than strangers who feel like they’re doing the right thing.
I want to say because of this, ‘good guys’ and 'bad guys’ are a constant gray area for her.
I actually had this drawing done since last year, but I was a little late to upload this so I had to wait until MerMay to post this. So have a Mermaid Aki!
So I was listening to a few old songs and came across “Without You” by Keith Urban and thought of these two.
After a long day of ranch hand chores and crime fighting, Jack enjoys taking off his boots and putting on the golden band for his other job; being a husband to his beloved. It’s moments like these that remind him why he’s a pro hero in the first place.
I was listening to Chris Daughtry’s “All These Lives” and the lyrics:
Never gonna let you take my world from me The world outside these walls may know you’re breathing But you ain’t coming in
Just screams a helluva protective parent (and it’s reasonable since this song radiates that anger, especially if you’re calling that person a ‘disease’). So I decided to draw a very protective Gang Orca with Aki. Trust me, without the colors, Kuugo is terrifying.
No matter what Pokémon always has a way of snaking into every fandom in existence, My Hero Academia included.
So I thought that a Clobbopus would have been Aki’s Pokémon for a while because of the fighting techniques she learns when she gets older, but then I completely forgot about Zorua!
Zorua is perfect for Aki; they’re both mischievous and create illusions to trick people. I also included Hisuian Zorua because I feel like Aki would have one if they were present in the current timeline.

This whole situation was just stupid. You where fighting over nonsense again. Normally you two would give each other the silence treatment for a few hours and that’s it, but this time it was somehow different. “Everything would be so much easier if you weren’t clinging to me all the time, it’s fucking annoying!” Dabi screamed at you, blue flames coming up from his patched up skin.
That was a damn lie, he loved it when you would show him affection – but the anger got the best of him.
You immediately froze. Sure he could get mad sometimes, but never to the point where he would say such hurtful things to you. The feeling of disappointment spread over your whole body. Disappointed in Dabi? Disappointed in yourself? Maybe with the whole situation you got yourself into.
Not knowing how to handle it any further you stormed of. All you wanted was some space right now.
Dabi grabbed you by your wrist. “I swear I didn’t -”
You flinched away in pain. A sharp burn coming from your wrist. Dabi pulled away immediately, probably just as shocked as you were.
Looking at your wrist you were able to make out a red ring, right where Dabi grabbed it. Not one of you said a word, just looking at your burned wrist. After you realized what just happened you turned on your heel and left. “It wasn’t on purpose.” he breathed, fully aware that you couldn’t hear him anymore.
