Shikamaru Nara was annoying and lazy but somehow at the top of his class in his second year of university, it didn’t really come as a shocker to you, he was brilliant, just barely motivated even if he didn’t do well in college he had his fathers business to land back on. You didn’t hate him, you didn’t technically like him either, you just felt as if he was wasting his potential.

Shikamaruon the other hand, never thought much of you, he also found you a tad bit annoying. He always thought you worked too hard, worried too much and whined too much about the smell of his cigarettes.
Thatwasof course until he saw you sitting real pretty on Sasuke’s couch taking a spliff off of Sasuke’s blunt. Shikamarumust admit, he never even looked twice at you but sitting there all dolled up really played a number on him.

Sasuke noticed his staring before you did, cocking his eyebrow up at Shikamaruwho pointedly looked away. No one got on Shimamaru’s nerves like Sasuke did. Shikamarucould feel Sasuke grinning as he grabbed you by the waist and sat you right on his lap. You weren’t bothered in the least anyone who knewSasuke knew he was totally into Naruto and you’ve known Sasuke since you were both in diapers, you were one of the few people Sasuke felt safe around vise versa so you were used to his occasional breaches of personal space, it was all platonic really, but that didn’t matter to Shikamaru. For some reason unbeknownst to Shikamaru, that really ticked him off and he stormed over eyes narrowed, 

“You give me all that shit about smoking and here you are y/l/n”  Your eyes widen at his sudden accusation, your mouth agape, Sasuke’s laughter filling your eyes behind you, 

“Oh fuck off Nara, leave her be” Sasuke teases, wrapping his arm over your waist. 

“Medical marijuana and your filthy cigarettes are two completely different things.” You scold back at him offering him a hit which he takes hesitantly, inhaling and puffing out slowly. 

“Sasuke got you smoking hash baby, come here let me smoke you out.” He responds regaining his posture, he wasn’t sure why but the idea of you spending the rest of the party on Sasuke’s lap irritated him especially if you looked that damn good. If he stared too long he’s sure his mouth would start to water. Sasuke snickers behind you and winks before releasing his grip as Shikamaru pulls you towards him. 

“Nara, I can walk by myself!” You whine as his grip on your arm loosens, he guides you out of the house and to his car. 

“Where are we going?” You ask nervously, it felt like new territory just up and leaving Sasuke’s with him but Sasuke seemed okay with it, and you know Sasuke wouldn’t just let you leave with anyone. 

“Relax princess, it’s just me. We’ve known each other forever.” He scoffs, opening the door for you as you slide into his car, the door shutting behind you. You were on high alert, you’ve never been left alone with Shikamaru, let alone in his car it made you nervous. He slips in next to you rubbing his hands together as he turns the ignition glancing up at you. 

“Will you relax princess..” He says while placing a hand on your thigh to stop your mindless leg bouncing. His actions were purely innocent, he really did want you to just calm down but watching you squirm under his touch made him all the more excited. Shikamaruwas aware of how intelligent he was, but as of right now he was beating himself up for being dumb enough to look past you all these years. His car warms up around the both of you as he reaches for his tray and kush, chuckling at you as you watch anxiously.

“What?” He asks while rolling the paper, 

“Nothing” You divert your eyes to the blue car parked in front of you rereading the license plate over and over in your head to keep yourself from watching him roll the blunt, he looked too damn fine, his actions were nothing less than sinful. 

“Do I make you nervous?” He asks innocently, gliding the lighter back and forth finishing up his masterpiece. 

“Yeah, you do.” You admit shrugging forcing yourself to look at him as a sly smirk sits on his pretty pink lips. 

“Good.” He retorts, turning the car off while lighting up the blunt between his lips and puffing out smoke blowing it in your direction. 

You wouldn’t call yourself a prude, you’ve had your share of boyfriends but you didn’t sleep around you made it a point to stay focused on school, but here in all its glory was Shikamaru Nara who was causing you to unravel all by the simple act of smoking.

He reaches out with the blunt faced to him, a devilish smirk flashing your way, 

“Open” He taunts and you open your mouth slightly, he nods approvingly as you pass it back holding in your hit, sitting up to face him blowing it right back into face. 

“Come on princess, don’t play with me.” He groans, placing his hand back on your thigh. 

“Shotgun?” He asks softly, looking up seeking approval and you nod excitement coursing through your body. He sucks in softly, leaning over gently caressing your chin before exhaling into your mouth, you all but moan into his mouth and it takes all of his willpower to not lean forward and kiss you even though in the back of your mind he’s sure you wouldn’t have had a problem with that. 

He leans back humming causing you to raise an eyebrow at him, 

“Bet I can make you moan for real.” He teases his hand still on your thigh, with a satisfied smirk on his lips.
