#new look
For Valentine’s this year, myself and my boyfriend went to Birmingham for the weekend to go and watch PARTYNEXTDOOR perform at the O2 Academy (highly recommend).
At the ripe age of 22 (almost 23), I still haven’t found ‘my style‘. Like most girls out there, I love feeling all pretty in pink and heels, but don’t get me wrong, casual and comfortable is what I’m really about! When Tobi emailed me asking to collaborate, I couldn’t resist – it was my chance to really put myself out there and step out my comfort zone.
Fashion photos aren’t really my forte, nor am I photogenic! I’m still finding my own way of taking outfit shots for now (definitely one of my goals for 2019)!
Tobi is an online-only fashion boutique based in Los Angeles but they ship to over 150 countries worldwide! From dainty, elegant pieces to cute and casual, Tobi has an amazing range of clothes for a good price.
This Valentine’s I wore the Half Thought Sweater Dress* in Rose, paired with my favourite over the knee boots from New Look. The dress is exactly as I expected which is one of the biggest issues people face when ordering online.
As a shortie at only 5ft 3, finding dresses (in particular, jumper dresses) that don’t come below the knee is a pretty tough job! However, I found that this sweater dress came just above my knees – it didn’t meet my boots!
I tied a belt around my waist to bring the dress in a bit and rolled up the sleeves to make it look more fitted (and to show off my watch, of course) – just a personal preference! It also dons cold shoulders and a high neck collar which is perfect for the British weather!
What did you do for Valentine’s Day?! Tell me all about it!

What I wore on Valentine’s Day For Valentine’s this year, myself and my boyfriend went to Birmingham for the weekend to go and watch PARTYNEXTDOOR perform at the O2 Academy (highly recommend).I recently had a day out with my mum and nan at Southport, a seaside town in the North West. While there I, of course, had a browse in the shops and I may or may not have bought quite a few bits ready for my new year at University. Although I primarily bought items in Primark, there were a couple of bits from Debenhams, New Look and Peacockss as well.
Debenhams;
I bought a comfy maroon coloured cardigan-shawl thing which I figured would be so good to have while away at University when it starts to cool down for Autumn. It was a bargain at about £6.75 and like I said earlier, it is super comfy and I’m excited for the cooler months to start.
I also bought a pair of light pink velvet heels which are Dorothy Perkins and I dropped on with these as they were the only pair of these left and luckily enough they were in my size! They’re a perfect match for a dress I bought in New Look last year and I couldn’t say no to them, especially at the price of £10.
New Look;
I finally got my hands on a faux leather jacket in a gorgeous pale pink colour. I had my eye on this for a while and when I went into the store -originally looking for boots- I came across this in the sale rack. I’m excited to be able to wear this with so many different outfits I have already planned! Once again, another bargain as it cost me only £12, an enormous decrease from the original £40.
Primark;
I got my hands on a burgundy pinafore and it looks so cute, I’m excited to style it during the autumn months when it gets a bit colder and tights and boots return into season and it cost me just £12.
I finally bought some boots as well, after looking around for a few weeks I have been on the hunt for some boots ready for university and I managed to find two pairs! A pair of flat ankle boots and a pair of flat, over the knee boots, both in black. The ankle boots I believe where around £8-£10 I think (I can’t find the receipt!) and the over the knee boots cost me £18, an overall bargain.
Some other boring bits include me picking up a pair of plain black leggings because some how I have managed to lose my others and they cost me like £2.50, and I bought a pair of simple high waister skinny jeans in a dark blue for £9.
(Little updated addition) Peacocks;
On another little shopping trip I went into Peacocks and picked up two scarves and a winter beret style hat. If you’re on the look out for these kind of items for the upcoming months I’d definitely encourage you to try your nearest peacocks as each if these items cost 50p and you never know what bargains you might pick up!
That’s all from me, unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a photo of some items before they’ve been packed up ready for Uni but hopefully I’ll be able to show you some time in the near future!
XO K
