I feel like we dont talk enough about the fact that blackbeard wanted to kill himself in the beginning of the show. like when he talks to izzy and is like, dying, haven’t tried that before, and he doesn’t even look worried. he wanted to die because he’s just so bored, so fucking tired of being blackbeard. then he fell in love with stede and they spent weeks together having so much fun. upon his confession, blackbeard said that being with stede had been the most fun he’s had in years, maybe ever. he was finally so happy and then he thought stede betrayed him so now he’s regressed back into the monster everyone wants like a puppet on a string but now he feels more paint than ever.
