Drew fanart of @aterfish‘s hazmat danny au. IT”S SOOO COOOOL I just had to draw some fanart of it right away after I saw it. I’m not experienced or great at drawing but I had a blast drawing this.
also I never want to draw shattered glass again that took 10 years off of my lifespan trying to figure out the geometry. will probably draw more of this if I’m allowed but when I actually have time to do so and not procrastinating studying or going to class.

sidenote: some poor goon doesn’t realize that adora doubles as catra’s bodyguard and thinks he can take her out. next thing he knows, he’s on the ground with a broken leg and adora standing over him, wiping lipstick from the corner of her mouth.
since I really dig the style and all the effort that must have been put into this, I decided, hey, what if I make a terrible fic about it? So uh here ya go I tried
Cat Got Your Tongue?
Normally, Catra wouldn’t do this. But it was becoming tedious to have to cut her time with Adora short just because she had business to attend to. Had her lackeys been more competent, Catra wouldn’t have thought twice about spending the entire day in bed with Adora. Unfortunately, being the head of the most powerful mob in the city didn’t allow that. She hated to say it, but she did have a job to do.
That doesn’t mean she couldn’t work Adora into it anyways.
The first couple of guys she had to check up on blinked at the sight of Catra with what they assumed was her toy, but didn’t say anything more about it, too intimidated by Catra’s fierce glare and how just by looking at her you could tell she could rip you to pieces if she really wanted to. But this guy…this one was a real piece of work.
He was one of the ones who usually gave her the most trouble. Whether it be just-barely-on-time protection fees, trouble with her actual goons, or refusing to cooperate unless…persuaded we’ll say, this guy was on thin ice to begin with. The only reason she really kept him around was because of his connections. He could lengthen her reach into other cities, and with that, her power. He was lucky for that, without it, he’d have been disposed of a long time ago.
But when he walked into her office (a lavish, previously private room of the bar that she had taken over) and immediately gagged at the sight of Adora lounged over her, he was practically asking for her to slit his throat, even if with those friends in high places.
The first mistake was opening his mouth when she hadn’t spoken to him first.
“So uh, what’s with the chick?”
“What about her?” It was Catra’s only reply, Adora stopping her current conquest of Catra’s shoulder to pay closer attention to how this panned out.
“Isn’t that unprofessional? You know. Bringing your bitch when you’re working?”
“And to what concern is that of yours?”
“I just-”
“I didn’t call you here to have you comment on my business practices André, I’m here to settle a little…debt you have with me.” Boy was this guy getting on her nerves today.
“…debt?”
This is where she put him in his place. “Yes André, as you can tell by the records, remember that couple hundred I gave you two months ago? That was supposed to be paid back. Yesterday.”
Her voice went cold as she ended, quite enjoying the look of terror on his face at her words. She had a strict rule with fees. Pay them on time or pay with your life. If it was money taken from her, she expected it back, especially with this generous amount of time she had given to him to pay up.
“I, I don’t remember borrowing any money!”
“Oh yeah? Then why do I have it in the records? And why do you suddenly have a new shiny ride? That money was supposed to be used for negotiations.”
Oh she was playing cat and mouse with him now. She knew he didn’t pay it back, and she knew he didn’t even use it for the correct purpose. Catra had been so pissed initially, she remembers now how she had ranted to Adora about it when she had gotten the news.
Adora right now just seemed to be enjoying the show, her hands playing with the knots in Catra’s hair while she hid a smile.
“Well right now, it’s a little hard to negotiate with you, since you got your dame sitting in on this.”
“I quite like mixing business and pleasure, now how’s about we go back to talking about that money you owe me.”
Before he could interject again, she cut him off, looking directly at him while one arm held Adora closer, tracing the line of her side. “You have two choices. There is no negotiations. Either you pay me back, right now, or you have a five second headstart to run. Choose your pick.”
“Boss! Boss I’m sorry I’ll pay ya back, don’t do this to me!” As he realized what this meant for him, he got on his knees, sliding closer to Catra. “Just give me a few more days, I can make the money!”
“I’ve already given you several reminders André. Either you give me the money now, or you better hope I don’t see your face in here again.”
Realizing he was beat, his eyes darted to Adora, hoping she’d say something against this.
Adora unsurprisingly just looked down at him on the floor, her stare cold and unemotional. She had seen worse deals in her time here, the fact that Catra was willing to give him any time at all to escape was merciful.
Seeing that neither of them would budge, André suddenly leapt up from his knees, anger flooding through his eyes as he also remembered they were alone in here, flashing an unsettling grin. Well, unsettling for most people at least.
“There ain’t no way I’m going on the run. Especially if it comes with the opportunity to take you out.”
As he lunged first for Adora, he didn’t have enough time to realize that this was a grave mistake. Before he knew it, Adora was out of Catra’s lap and twisting his arm behind his back, tackling him to the ground. She didn’t hesitate to cause more damage than just that though, she may have looked like just a plaything of Catra’s, but she was stronger than anyone Andrés had ever gone up against. He could feel his now broken leg throbbing, and the wind was just barely beginning to return to him.
“Please-”
“Doll, you know where to take him.”
Adora only nodded, lifting him up onto her shoulder with ease, as he began to plead, tears running down his face. “Please! I-”
“Oh shut up you blubbering idiot. You knew this is what would happen. Take him away.”
As Adora took him from the room, Catra sighed, annoyed. Today had been going so well too, and this fool had to go and ruin it for her. Oh well. He’d get what was coming to him.
