…That doesn’t mean, she’s going to tell him about them though.
Not because it’s creepy in any capacity! But because her observations aren’t exactly on his powers. Just, other things. Little details that she doesn’t want to point out lest they freak Danny out.
For example, she’s pretty sure Danny doesn’t actually need to breathe. He just hasn’t noticed.
And that would be a concerning thing for her to know when he doesn’t, but it isn’t because he just… forgets to breathe a lot of the time. She doesn’t think he gets anything out of doing it.
However, Sam’s noticed he breathes at an almost-human rate when it gets warm. Maybe, it helps regulate temperature.
There’s also how sometimes, Danny is smarter. Or well, maybe not smarter, but… he processes things faster, he’s remembers more. He also gets fidgety, observant, and more prone to sensual affection.
And the state is something he visibly shakes off. He’s said before that his core was something akin to a ghost brain. She wonders if there’s any dissonance between how he thinks with his core and his brain…
Is it even actually thinking if he’s using his core. It’s a strange though. She wonders what it would feel like to hop from one form of thinking to another, much more foreign one.
There’s another thing she doesn’t think Danny has looked at long enough to notice. His hands are sharp.
Plenty of ghosts have claws, but Danny hands, his gloves, they sharped at the end like the fingers themself have pricked at the tips.
She first noticed it when he’d once used them to pry open the metal of Skulker’s suit with a casual easy, but he clearly hadn’t thought much on it, hadn’t dwelled on the action.
There’s also the fascinating thing that is his suit.
Danny can take it off just fine, but when he’s in a situation where it gets cut, he bleeds. Like it’s his skin that’s been cut.
She wonders often if him having skin under it is something he does actively. He feels the through the suit as well. She pinched his sleeve once to make sure he wasn’t just feeling through it.
She thinks it’s become something like a hide, but it’s definitely more sensitive than that…
Another thing she’s noticed is Danny growls. It’s a low, rumbling, angry sound from his chest that picks up whenever he’s stressed or annoyed. It’s extremely hard to miss if you aren’t paying attention.
When he’s fighting or in danger, they’re much louder and tend to change pitch with his speech. Its really cool actually.
Something similar to this that Danny has noticed is the purring. She’s pretty sure he only realized, because she and Tucker couldn’t just not tease him over it.
He only ever purrs around them. At first she thought it was something he could only do when he felt safe or relaxed, but he also uses it as a comforting venture towards them without realizing.
He also insist that the sound is just his core vibrating and decidedly not purring. He is wrong.
Review: I highly reccomend Imekitty as a writer for Danny Phantom fans.
This Danny Phantom fic., Magnetized, was really immersive and had lots of dark undertones. It depends on the person reading it on how they interpret Maddie’s intriguing perspective on Danny, her son, and as well, Phantom. Personally, it had a dark twist in the end and had a horrific tension throughout the whole write. Imekitty deserves so much more attention for her frequent uploads and hard work (behind the actual posts too), and what she has done, in my opinion, is worth my time sharing. Give her kudos!
What it’s about (Summary): Maddie, a high held scientist, shoots to study the enigma: Phantom. But the problem with that? Phantom is her son, and Danny knows she knows about his secret identity. But, will that change anything…? Maddie’s obsession with him obscures that perverse idea of experimenting on her son. So what does she do? Goes against what she is, a mother, for her obsession.

A/N: Man my style has improved, yay for me! Oh, and this drawing is based off an unpublished AU of mine when Danny is immortal and has to erase his memory every 90 years.

Okay, AU time!
So Danny in this AU has to erase his memories every 90 years in order to not go senile or crazy and lose it. He terminates all his records and everything about him. Even school papers. In addition, he’s stuck at the age of 17. I find it would be interesting if he kept at a young age. Too young to get a good job.Tehe.
With the memory erases he doesn’t erase combat and basic needs (Including muscle memory). For example, what he learned in school and why he did a memory erase and when to do one isn’t erased. So pretty much he just erases anyone he’s ever known and his experiences. Like if he had sex in two different memory erases, the second would be his ‘first time’.
Danny practically starts a new life with each memory erase… But that’s the point.
Also, after each memory erase Danny freaks out at the vivisection scar on his body, he doesn’t remember when it happened or how he got it, he cries every time he ‘first’ sees it, and it always haunts him even if he doesn’t remember getting it. He feels really kept in the dark his whole life from his past unknown experiences.
Oh and after 20 years into one of his first memory erase’s he meets Vlad again, but Danny doesn’t remember him. And yes, Vlad is immortal too, he’s just less traumatized so it’s easier for him to continue without a brain wipe.

“ But…you had fangs!” Danny’s voice was laced with evident annoyance but wavered as he spoke.
Vlad, sensing an opportunity to both frighten the teen and shut him up, motioned the sixteen-year-old forward. Once within whisper distance, Vlad sneered jovially, “ If you were curious, next time just ask.” Opening his mouth ever so slightly he allowed the teeth to reveal themselves from under the guise.
Daniel starred in perplexed amazement. “ Woah! Wait. You mean you always have had those?”
Daniel leaned in closer making Vlad slightly uncomfortable.
Annoyed, he leered, “ Always? Pfffff. Spectral fangs just came up a few years after my little accident while I was in the hospital. It unnerves people so I keep them cloaked.”
Daniel rubbed his chin in thought. “So what about that cloak or cape you wear when you transform? It wasn’t some weird wear cosplay to science class day was it?” Daniel suppressed a snicker at the thought.
Vlad’s eyebrow lifted questioningly and his usually stoic face contorted in confusion. “Cosplay?” He questioned. Seeing Daniel’s amused smirk Vlad assumed insult.
“ I’ll have you know Daniel, I didn’t get the luxury of quick zap powers like a certain hyperactive brat.” He glared at the floating phantom, fangs fully exposed and his voice laced in venom.
Raising up his white-gloved hands, Daniel frowned apologetically, “ Sorry, I meant no offense fruit-loop.”
Vlad, still angry, continued. “ My cosplayas you so sarcastically put it just developed with my powers as I shifted from sickly human to half-ghost. I had no say in the matter.”
“ Vlad, do you realize how hilarious this is?” Daniel stifled a laugh. “ Your name is Vlad, you have fangs, and you have a cape!” He pointed toward Vlad’s annoyed skowl accusingly. “You’re an accidental Dracula knock off!”
Vlad’s eyebrow twitched. “ At least I’m not the half-ghost equivalent of insta-ramen, Mr. one minute spook,” Vlad smirked.
