how to draw and color in Procrrate on iPad
This is why I encourage my students to work from life as much as possible, even if it might seem a little inconvenient at the time. If you look at the following two reference photos I took (one exposed for the light and the other for the shadow), you’ll be able to see that the pictures in no way captured the lighting and color I saw that day, which are accurately represented in my study.
Of course you can have better photo reference but it’ll never compare to the observations your eye can make, which is well worth the effort. Even if it means having to walk back and forth from your desk to the stairs to constantly make observations and corrections :)

Process photos of one of my 1001 Knights pages. Got some details to put in, but it’s just about finished. It’s a full bleed page so it’s a whopping 12 x 18 inches, done in watercolor and gouache. Now to get it scanned and do the lettering. The lady being carried is singing a song to give her wife some strength to carry her. <3

Practice using Procreate in iPad Pro This should be zero two but I already drew her before and another pink horned girl so I changed the concept in the end I still have a lot to learn but I’m enjoying it so far!
