I went to a friends house the other day for lunch and coffee (safe pod) and I thanked them multiple times for caring for me in this simple way. I didn’t know how much I missed that. This pause has made me dig deep to find my own well of joy, while I’m sure on many levels this is good and important work, it has also made me realize we are social creatures who lean on each other to reflect basic sanity and kindness. My heart feels raw a lot of these days days AND life has been extremely beautiful. Both. All the time both, heightened on all fronts. Every image on the news, missing people I love, then seeing them, then saying goodbye again, all just crushingly exposing nerves. it’s no secret that I’ve always been a fan of fierce #redlips, but finding the right shade that stays on and doesn’t bleed all over my face has been a major challenge, that is until I found @gxvebeauty by @gwenstefani during my first big trip to an actual #irl @sephora in MORE THAN TWO YEARS, because #pandemiclife, and discovered this absolutely amazing #liquidlipstick it feels amazing on my lips, tastes like cake, and best of all doesn’t smudge or transfer when I accidentally touch my mouth or try to eat or drink!!! I’m in love, the only problem is it’s currently only available in one color, and while this red is totally gorgeous, I need this formula in every color of the rainbow, please!! I love bright lipstick, but I can be hard to wear as part of every day make up looks, but I’m calling it now @gxvebeauty Is totally going to change the game in that regard and I couldn’t be more excited about the possibilities!!
