Out and About is a silent sequence comic book great for all ages. How do you get the most out of a “silent sequence” book? Here are a few tips:
1. Enjoy the pictures (obviously). Take in all the details within each frame. You might be surprised what you missed with only a quick glance.
2. If you are viewing with a child, work on verbal communication by having them narrate the story to you.
3. For a further challenge, write the story (dialogue/action/scene) for a few pages.
4. Play a game. What do you see and what does someone else see? There is an entire world in those pages.

Podejrzewam, że nie byłby to może oczywisty wybór lektury na Dzień Babci, a jednak zapewniam, że warto właśnie dziś sięgnąć po „Kobietę i chłopca”. W ogóle warto. Pamiętacie „Niebajki”? To ten sam autor - Geert De Kockere, jego wyobraźnia i filozoficzna myśl. Tym razem we wzruszającej w gruncie rzeczy historii przyjaźni małego chłopca i starej kobiety. Początkowo opowieść jest nieco mroczna i dziwna, bo przefiltrowana przez obawy i lęki małego dziecka. Czytelnik patrzy na wszystko oczami malca i to z jego perspektywy widzi samotną staruszkę - jest więc ona straszną Babą Jagą. To srogie oblicze delikatnieje jednak po bliższym poznaniu, aż do całkowitej przemiany. The squirrels were in the middle of their daily rummage when they came across a worn pair of dungarees.
“What’s this doing in the dumpster?” asked the first squirrel.
“It looks perfectly functional to me,“ said the second. "It just needs a little love!”
“How wasteful!” said the third, examining an old tube sock.
