Ethan tried his best not to let her distract him, there she was in his direct line of sight over the donors shoulder, dancing with Lahela, the way her hips moved, the way she laughed…how had he gone this long working along side her…without crumbling…He loved how imperfect she was. so many times he just wanted to tell her how he really felt, but so many times he got stuck in his head, he knew if he told her how he felt, it would become a thing…and the next thing they know the whole hospitals gossiping about how she must have slept her way onto the diagnostics team, how she hadn’t earned her spot…but she had more than earned her spot on the team. After their first kiss…he just could not stop thinking about her, every time they crossed paths in the corridors he felt that warm feeling in his chest. These new feelings scared him, of course he had dated before, he had feelings for significant others before but nothing…nothing like what he felt for Katie.

When I first walk into the private area of the Palace to begin my interview, Princess Yvonne is waiting for me in her office. I quickly run through the etiquette crash course her private secretary gave me before I entered the room: Bowing the head. “Your Royal Highness” for the first introduction, Ma’am for everything after. Waiting to sit until she sits. Through it all, I can feel her eyes on me. Her manners are perfect, but there is a certain intensity in her presence and gaze that some have described as cold or intimidating. Whatever it is, it’s powerful, and I don’t want to mess up.
When we’ve both sat down and she’s poured tea for me (a lavender and sage blend, always!), she tells me that I’ve done a good job. As we drink tea and munch on cookies, we chat mildly about recent events, like the news, the recent public concerts in the park, and whether I watched the national team’s upset win over France in EuroBasket qualifiers to move on to the next round (I didn’t, and she tells me to watch the highlights as soon as I can). When I ask why she has an office, she smiles.

Drake had missed the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner because he hadn’t been able to get a flight out of Rivala any earlier. Maxwell Beaumont had stood in as best man for the rehearsal ceremony. “Yeah, sorry about that. I, uh…I was there but then I kind of…left.”
“Left?” Liam asked in astonishment, “Immediately after arriving? Before saying hi to your best friend?”

Bryce paused, leaning against the wall, before heading into the hospital. He got in early because he had come to enjoy his Tuesday morning ritual with ‘The Boys’ as he had dubbed them. Ethan still frowned and rolled his eyes at that, which always caused him and Raf to grin at the older doctor. What made him pause today was the blue-eyed blonde who was crossing the parking lot. Her hair was pulled up in a high ponytail, rather than the side braid she normally wore. He missed her, he realized. It had been a while since he missed someone, especially since he saw her and talked to her everyday. He watched as she paused to talk to Raf and Sora. As she continued towards the hospital with Raf, he had to talk to her.
Bouncing up and down at the rhythm of the music, Elizabeth’s long and curly ponytail whipped from side to side.
A group of runners sprinted past her and her eyes lingered on their bare arms and legs, and the sight alone made her shiver.
Even though the singer keeps repeating verses about summer into her ears, sunny and warmer days are becoming a distant memory. This morning, the sun above their heads seemed like an imitation of what she’s used to, its sunbeams struggling to shine through a greyish sea of clouds, a faint light reaching her face without warming it. This time of the year, if she were jogging at the broad Portuguese mosaic sidewalk at Ipanema, despite the sea breeze, her cheeks would probably feel hot and get redder after each kilometre crossed. Kissed by the golden sunlight, beads of sweat would be streaming down her back, making her tank top stick to the skin, unlike here.
At London, she has a jacket zipped all the way up on top of her t-shirt and the breeze blowing through the trees cools her hands and nose.
However, there’s a presence here that provides a similar warmth to her life, and she almost forgets the grey sky above.
Her gaze sneaks at the man and his springing graceful steps.

Simon knew he should be enjoying himself, but he was hot, and thirsty, and his binder had never felt as tight as it did now, with sweat suctioning it to his chest. Not to mention the crowds, and with crowds came noise, and noise meant overstimulation, but he didn’t dare turn off his hearing aid just in case he needed it to find the friends he had lost after his band, Kingslayer, finished their set.
It had been nice to be up on stage with his friends, since they all went their separate ways after graduation, but now that the event had lost it’s shine- at least for him, anyway- all Simon felt was tired and overwhelmed.
Victoria and Ethan dressed each other slowly, stealing kisses with every piece of clothing. They could hear the music from the party downstairs, everyone celebrating whilst they were having their own private celebration upstairs.
“Are you ready to go back to the party?” Victoria asked.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go back to mine? As I said, you could spend the night, we could have some more intimate time together.” Ethan nuzzled her neck.
