Originally this was a mockup design for the cover of a fake book/ zine I wanted to make. The concept would be a field book / guidebook of all of the Pokémon in the Kanto region written by Professor Samuel Oak himself.
The book would provide the pokedex entry of each creature and additional notes and journal entries included by the Professor along with notes about each town, shops in the towns, gym leaders, festivals, events, which Pokémon you can find on routes in the region and other advice.
Venusaurs are by nature very solitary. However, they also have a wealth of warmth and affection, and have been known to nurture young pokemon that take a liking to them. Post link
