Anna Pigeon #13
by Nevada Barr
Ranger Anna Pigeon has transferred to Rocky Mountain National Park and after working in the Mississippi mud, the fresh air of the Rockies is a relief. A few weeks before she arrived, three young girls had disappeared in the park and an extensive search had failed to find them. When two of them turn up at Heath’s handicamp thoroughly traumatized and claiming to remember nothing of their ordeal, the search for the third girl intensifies. Then things get a little weird. The book begins a little slow, but then I could hardly put it down.
Nevada Barr is always good, and this book is no exception. However, the psychological aspect in the last several chapters struck me as a bit over-the-top.
