Hey y’all just wanted to let you know that tonight’s shop update will be postponed im until next Saturday November 13th at 8 pm est. I’ve been working on a few projects with close deadlines so I haven’t been able to photograph the pieces for the listings yet. Autumn is well and truly upon us now. I’m planning a shop update for this Saturday! It will include all of the pieces that are left from the @salemnightfaire and a preorder for the Black Linen Bise dresses. The preorder will be available in the UK Etsy shop also!

All packed up and well on our way driving to Salem today for the @salemnightfaire tomorrow. @voodooodolly and I are excited to reunite with @thorns_clothing and all the other lovely vendors. All of the vendors who were set to appear on Saturday will be there Friday! The Saturday market has been canceled because of the weather forecast.

Safely back home in Ohio after the @darksomecraftmkt at the @mountmoriahcemetery I had such a lovely time! Thank you so much to @cabinetofcuriousclay for all your hard work organizing and to everyone who came out to shop and say hello!
Now I’m working hard on some last pieces for the @salemnightfaire next weekend! I cannot wait to visit Salem and see all the other lovely vendors at the Faire! @voodooodolly and I will be there together along with @thorns_clothing
I’m printing a few market exclusive pieces along with the very last run of my Halo hats and Witch hats. I’ve decided to retire them after this market for good. I’m also bringing Salome crop tops, Hel dresses and the newly finished Gruoch skirts (formerly the War skirt now renamed after Gruoch ingen Boite Queen of Alba and wife of Macbeth) if you’re around the Salem/Boston area stop by and say hello! We’ll be there in the @pioneervillage1630 both Friday and Saturday and I know the whole @salemnightfaire is going to be an incredible spectacle.

I’m so excited to be able to attend these outdoor events! I’ve missed seeing people in person and getting to talk to so many other artists and small businesses! And I’m so grateful to organizers with are taking precautions and setting up outdoor events. I’ll be bringing one of a kind pieces to both events.
Lots of other things are happening in the background. Both ongoing preorders will be wrapping up soon so I’ll be able to open another for the Bise dresses and hopefully the Velvet Sylvias! That pattern is finally all set and ready to go, and I found a supplier for the most beautiful cotton velvet!

I don’t want June to end. Every year I’m overjoyed to see the outpouring of pride and support in the queer community. I learned about the 17th century Nun and poet Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz thanks to the Hellfire Club hosted by @mr_s_crane on Patreon. If you’re interested in queer history and magic and how they intertwine I highly recommend subscribing. This month Sebastian has been giving us daily vignettes about queer historical figures from across time. I’m especially grateful to discover people I’ve never read about before!

I was revisiting one of my favorite novels recently, Maurice, which was written by E. M. Forester in 1914 and then not published till after his death in 1971. It’s a pity he never lived to see enough change in his lifetime to feel safe to share this heartfelt story.

Thank you all so much for the fantastic response to the Clifford Blouses! These are one of the styles I’ve been working on for a long time behind the scenes. I’m so happy with how they came out finished. We are working on the next round of them, I genuinely didn’t expect them to go so quickly. I’ve been trying to work on more separates and pieces I reach for daily! It’s part of just wanting everything I use daily for feel special somehow.

I’ll be doing a small drop of Natalie skirts this Friday. They are all wool in black or black and green stripes with hand tarnished buttons. I really like this as a style for the end of winter and the beginning of spring!

In other news the Linen Bise dresses are almost done. Because of shipping delays they’ve been set back a bit. Everyone waiting on their preorders will be getting an email from me soon with all the info. I appreciate everyone’s patience so much!

I’m so eager for spring to arrive. I got out all my seeds and I’m ready to dive into my garden as soon as it stops freezing overnight.
