#fencing
The confusion between the meaning of these two terms in Historical Fencing seems to come up a lot.
If you touch without power it does not necessarily mean you are fencing without intensity. If you fence with a lot of power, it does not necessarily mean you are fencing with a lot of intensity.
Though they exhibit a lot of overlap, they are not the same thing.
-Philippo di Vadi, 1480s
Happy Packsgiving from our club to you and yours! Packsgiving is a WRFS original holiday that we created to celebrate fencing family. It’s like Thanksgiving, but with clubmates instead of those awkward relatives you only see once a year. (Also it’s much more acceptable to start a duel over the last piece of dessert.)
This year, we celebrated our 2nd annual Packsgiving with food, awards, and our usual general shenanigans.
The sure and begorrah of our fencing team looking after the vapors of disappointment of one of the little fiercelings learning in loss of a touch. His empathy spans centuries
