I work at a comic book art camp for a few weeks over the Summer where we teach kids the basics of comic book art. When there are lulls in the amount of people that need help I’ll draw whatever kids around me are into.
Luckily, many of them are into videogames I have played. (The top one was someone saying I should draw a dinosaur and me taking it to a weird place…)
Canon game sprite style (undamaged mask, slouchy, smooth rounded limbs, plump body, wide face, pillar-shaped legs) vs. my, “I love official comic so much”, style (cracked mask like in early game materials, more straight and tall figure, vertically stretched face and eyes, detailed body joints, elegant long legs)
