Good evening or good morning depending on where you are, Rainbow Readers!

We just wanted to let everyone know that we are moving theme reveals from the 1st to the 2nd of each month. They’ll now be posting at 10am EST on the 2nd of each month! This is a change we made because it works better with the software that runs the new website. Nothing to worry about. :)

HOWEVER, you will still have a wonderful New Releases post to look forward to on the 1st every month! We want to introduce you to new queer books coming out each month so that you can fill your TBR, bookshelves, and library cards with queer new reads!

: Thank you @/wordsandworldsbooks on Instagram for the gorgeous photo!

But then Darcy begs Elle to play along… and maybe opposites can attract when true love is written in the stars?

“We are literally made of stardust.“ If anyone was made of star stuff, it was her.

― Alexandria Bellefleur, Written in the Stars

We mentioned this a few weeks ago, but we are so THRILLED to formally announce that we’ll be reading Written in the Stars by @a.m.bellefleur for our May book club! Written in the Stars is a big favorite in the sapphic community, and for good reason! If you love fake dating, enemies-to-lovers, and opposites-attract, or are a fan of the writing style in Red, White & Royal Blue, you’ll want to give WitS a read with us!

SUMMARY:

After a disastrous blind date, Darcy Lowell is desperate to stop her well-meaning brother from playing matchmaker ever again. Love—and the inevitable heartbreak—is the last thing she wants. So she fibs and says her latest set up was a success. Darcy doesn’t expect her lie to bite her in the ass.

Elle Jones, one of the astrologers behind the popular Twitter account, Oh My Stars, dreams of finding her soul mate. But she knows it is most assuredly not Darcy… a no-nonsense stick-in-the-mud, who is way too analytical, punctual, and skeptical for someone as free-spirited as Elle. When Darcy’s brother—and Elle’s new business partner—expresses how happy he is that they hit it off, Elle is baffled. Was Darcy on the same date? Because… awkward.

When Darcy begs Elle to play along, she agrees to pretend they’re dating to save face. But with a few conditions: Darcy must help Elle navigate her own overbearing family over the holidays and their arrangement expires on New Year’s Eve. The last thing they expect is to develop real feelings during a fake relationship.

But maybe opposites can attract when true love is written in the stars?
