winter nap over, time to Stare
You can see where rizlas missing a piece of her tail in the first picture. Shes gotten so big since I rescued her. I guess you could say shes become… quit a handful
Rizla had a big meal today she got her regular small rat and a mouse from Dexter cause he’s on a hunger strike again. One of the many reasons I don’t think ball pythons make good first snakes but that’s a later post lol. Anyway, you can see Rizlas little fangs in the first one!
Beautiful baby girl She was a rescue and as you can see part of her tail is missing. I don’t know how, she was 3 when I got her, but it doesn’t stop her from thriving, or being sassy asf and wagging it when she’s mad! (They do that to mimic rattlesnakes even though it makes no noise)
More pictures, because why not. Talun is the gal with the really funky pattern, and Ivomun is her clutchmate. In the second to last photo I was trying to get him to curl back up and he was like “No thanks, it’s cold, would like to leave” so I let him crawl up my arm and put him away.

I can’t believe I did all days of Inktober (and on my first year of doing it). It was definitely tough in the last half, and if I hadn’t been doing drawings of my friends’ pets, I really don’t think I would have finished. But thanks to all my wonderful friends (and their amazing pets) for encouraging me and keeping me going! <3
The last one for Halloween day is in memoriam of @wheremyscalesslither‘s rat snake, Harvey, who sadly passed away last year. I mostly did @i-m-snek‘s animals over the month, but I wanted the Inktober for Halloween to be special (and shoutout to Laura for also suggesting this one), and Harvey was definitely special!

Corn snakes (Pantherophis guttatus) originate from North America, but can be found all over the world in the pet trade. Their docile temperament and tendency to feed well on commercially available rodents make them an excellent starter snake for those who are new to the hobby.
