It was from an old unfinished comic I did back in 2016. I went through the folder and I just really wanted to re-draw one of the panels and this is the result! :)
I’m so happy I could renew their expressions, I think they speak so much more even if it’s just a sketch!
Here’s a gay headcanon: soon after they started working together, Heavy and Medic both found themselves quite interested, but all Medic’s attempts at flirting fell on flat ears thanks to cultural differences and Heavy’s then poor English.

Heavy, eyeing the room: Much people. Why?

Medic: Are you single?
Heavy: I am alone right now, yes.

Medic: I must admit, I have quite a crush on you.
Heavy: Crush… you? Don’t worry, I only crush enemy team. I don’t crush friend.

Scout: Ayo big guy, you really can’t tell Medic’s hittin’ on ya?
Heavy: Medic… hit…
Heavy: Who hit Medic?!

Medic: Would you be interested in a date?
Heavy: Date? Uh, today is ten of October, I think.
Medic: No, no, I’m asking you out!
Heavy: You need me to go outside?

Medic: I fell for you.
Heavy: Sorry. I’ll be more careful next time.

It goes on and on until Medic gets over the initial impression of being bluntly rejected and comes up with the most straightforward confession. Heavy isn’t even surprised though, he kind of figured he and Doktor both liked one another, and he wasn’t the one being all weird about it.
