I was very happy to design this — I love Dave Cockrum’s original design. I wanted to keep that vibe, but modernize it a bit and pull in some of Carol’s current iconography..

Here’s the new design I did for Storm, coming this spring to the X-MEN comics! ⚡️❌
Was very happy to design more X-Men! The assignment was to give Ororo an updated version of her 80s mohawk costume — I wanted to merge that punk aesthetic with her goddess and superhero looks.

I dunno how this mf ended up 10000px but the only thing screaming louder than my arm and back is my computer and when the machines rise up I willingly submit to whatever carnage it has in store for me. Remember kids, work smart, not hard! I hear great things about it. May consider thinking about possibly trying it someday.
