There are 10 types of people who understand binary. Those that do and those that don’t.

The idea of more than one sun setting below the horizon might seem like something straight out of science fiction.

But it’s not.

In fact recent evidence suggest that multiple star systems, with 2 or more stars orbiting one another, are more common than singular star systems like our sun.
Which are all alone.

We’ve even discovered multiple star systems that contain as many as 6 stars!
Granted they certainly wouldn’t look exactly as they would in this picture and life would find it very hard to survive on the surface of a planet nearby orbiting.

But the fact that there are solar systems out there where the planets could have views similar to this, is very exciting.

If the binary is so natural why does it requite such rigid enforcement?

This quote from Samantha over at CDL got me thinking: Are there any other presumably natural processes than requires the kind of policing transphobes are engaging in these days?

Hunger maybe? Nah. People seem, for the most part, to eat when they are hungry (and even when they are not). You do not have to force them to add more energy and nourishment to their bodies. Thirst? Nope.

The strict gender binary has to be enforced because it is a cultural and not a natural phenomenon. Sure, there are eggs and sperm, “innies” and “outies”, but as far as gender identities go, they are not necessarily following these binaries. The same applies to gender expression and abilities and interests.

This why so many do not live up to the sexual binary (being some shade of homosexual, bisexual or pansexual) and also why so many mix the masculine and the feminine  to their heart’s delight.

Men and women are not two separate species. We are one species, and we all share a wide palette of sex and gender colors.

Depressing to (constantly) remember that bisexuality is always blamed for “perpetuating dualisms” or whatever when it’s primarily straight and gay people acting like our sexuality is two halves of two whole identities, both of which we “fail” to truly embody.

CAPTAIN MARVEL #35 variant cover ft. my new design for Binary! Drawn and colored by me!

I was very happy to design this — I love Dave Cockrum’s original design. I wanted to keep that vibe, but modernize it a bit and pull in some of Carol’s current iconography..

(Waited a bit to post this to hopefully avoid spoilers!)

In ‘Barbie The Princess And The Pauper’ Wolfie is an allegory for not fitting into the gender binary.

So I was watching 'Barbie the Princess and the Pauper’ cuz memories and I’m a nerd THE REASONS NOT IMPORTANT

Anyway, the song 'The cats meow’ suddenly had a completely new meaning to me.

If you’ve never watched the movie, or can’t remember, the protagonist’s cat Wolfie doesn’t meow, he barks.

When Wolfie starts trying to meow instead of bark, Erica (Barbie) notices.

“I can see it when you’re feeling low

You can’t hide that from me

You’re no status quo calico

So why keep trying to be?”

This childrens movie shows a character who was born a cat (feminine) but has always found it more natural to bark like a dog (masculine). Not only is his friend supportive of that, she loves it.

“if you bark

Celebrate it

Make your mark

Serenade it

Noah’s ark

Shoulda had a cat like you.

And if what you are

Is a strange you

Doesn’t mean

You should change you

Only means

You should change your point of view.”

It’s a message so needed in today’s society and it was made in 2004!? And directed at young children!? It’s so amazing and I’m so proud. This honestly made me cry.

“There is not

One hair on you

That I would rearrange

I love you

The way you are

And that will never change

That will never change.”

You are different. And it’s amazing. Your imperfect and that’s perfect. Be yourself, you are always worthy of unconditional love.

It’s such a powerful message and I’ve heard noone talking about it?

what have i become…?what have i become…?

what have i become…?

Hello all!

(This is being reshared months later as I know quarantine is difficult for many and who knows who may need it!)

My name is Zeno, I am new to the discord world but as I dive head first into managing my first server, I’d like to invite fellow brothers and sisters of the Transgender community to take a trip on over to my new set up!

It’s a pretty basic format of a community and its sole purpose is to be a safe space for people in all stages of transition to reach out!
DM or comment if you are interested and I will foreword the link :)
Much love from your fave gay posh boy xx
