So I’ve rewatched the new trailers for Sarazanmai over and over! It’s interesting to see a combination of animation and live footage.I love the music, and the underlying tone of sadness, and the characters talking about their views on connections, I feel like you get a good grasp of their general outset. And of course already feeling that Ikuhara vibe. Weird street signs, towers having significant meaning, people unable to connect with society. I can’t wait for spring!

The only thing that would make it even more exciting for me is if it was partly a romantic story between two guys. I’d love to see what Ikuhara would make of that. Utena and Anthy is clearly one of my favourite relationships in all of anime. But whatever it is about, I know I’ll find it interesting. The PVs have a mawaru penguindrumesque vibe to them.
seeing the ppl watching ikuhara’s funny kappa show about gay crushes, crossdressing, and delinquency who somehow didn’t think the evil buddy cops were also gay react real-time to reo imagine himself and mabu naked, sing about how they’re the ultimate couple, and then walk in on mabu banging reo’s shadow-self was the FUNNIEST anime experience I’ve ever had. thank god for sarazanmai episode 9.
