#see you space cowboy
it’s probably a very unpopular opinion but i actually really like the live action of cowboy bebop. when you go into watching you can’t hold the expectations that it’s going to be exactly like the anime, you just can’t with live action adaptions of anime. but i reckon the writers and directors and everyone did a really good job of capturing the essence of cowboy bebop.
Dear citizens, our castle is under siege again
Flashmob idea: post Spike/Faye/Jet/Vicious/Andy/etc content using #see you space cowboy
Spike is for everyone. The smell of roses only should not block the scent of violets, daisies, lilies and other flowers
Count me in!
No wonder Spike x Andy is one of the favorite Cowboy Bebop pairings in Japanese fandom. Just look at them!
Rolling into the Netflix live action version like:
Whatever happens, happens…

Young Jet hunted a severe syndicate member who turned out to be a good-looking woman. Sounds jazzy.
Spike doesn’t stand a chance
And he has Vicious anyway
Closing ceremonies and the feedback panel are over. The staff is packing up and the doors are closed. Anime Boston 2019 has officially ended. I know, I’m sad too.
But what a year 2019 was. Concerts by MIYAVIandYoko Shimomura, premieres of new movies from Code GeassandCity Hunter, a visit from the New England Patriots’ anime club, and those are just the head lines. That doesn’t include the panels, the events like dances, the videos, and the time spent in between with old friends, or friends you’ve just met.
These past three days have been a blur in the best way possible, and it’s all been thanks to you attendees. As Con Chair Kristen Leiding said at closing ceremonies, “Thank you all for the passion and energy that you bring.” We hope you’ll bring that same passion and energy back next year for Anime Boston 2020, from April 10th thru 12th.
On a side note, 2019 marks the 10th year of the Anime Boston blog. Thank you to all of you who have read, liked, and shared our posts. Getting to work for the Anime Boston blog is the sweetest gig ever, and we get to keep doing it because of you. So from all of us here at the Anime Boston blog, thank you, deeply and truly.
So until next time…

This week on the SEE YOU, SPACE COWBOY… actual play podcast, the Outlaws better be ready to rumble ‘cause it’s time for WCW* STARRCADE AT THE CRATER BOWL!
*World Ceres Wrestling
This week’s episode was completely ridiculous and a ton of fun! I also think it’s a great jumping on point; if you haven’t checked out our show yet but want to give it a shot, or wanted to introduce it to someone else, this would be a great introduction to the game & setting!
Me and my friends always get to have stupid amounts of fun together on Saturdays but this session was something special.
Tonight at 6 p.m. EST: [link] Come see if we make it off Mars, or at least manage to not get assassinated! (unlikely)
(Badass new character art by @violetfoxsketches!)
Oh hey I drew that.
This week on the SEE YOU, SPACE COWBOY… actual play podcast: it’s been a tough few weeks, and the Outlaw crew of the Dosage Tango are ready to take a well-earned vacation and soak up some rays on the beaches of Ganymede. Nothing bad could ever happen at the beach, right?
The spiel:
SEE YOU, SPACE COWBOY… (abbreviated CUSC) is a tabletop roleplaying game for 3-6 players set in outer space where the players create characters called Outlaws: bounty hunters who fly across the galaxy in search of their next payday. You create situations where they land in hot water, manipulate people, and start gunfights, all while dealing with their debt and trauma.
The actual play podcast follows the adventures of four such Outlaws – Sammy Sinclair, the self-styled Scat King of Ganymede; Emmy Acero, broke college student and part-time stunt double; Dr. Pete Moss, disgraced and disbarred professor of botany; and Spanks Sinatra, horribly depressed drag king Sinatra impersonator – as they try to earn money and survive in the rough and tumble world of space bounty hunting aboard their starship, the Dosage Tango.
