Hello! Here is a small post so you know I am still around and working on this game! In fact, I post most of my updates on Patreon, so if you’ve enjoyed the demo, consider pledging to keep up with any game updates (as well as view monthly prints and download my stream each month).

As for game itself, the above image is part of a route that you get after falling from the tree on the first day – it’s the only the route that will utilize this room, but what purposes will it serve? You’ll have to see in the full version!

A small update, but I have put a bit more info on the aboutandcharacter pages now that my demo has been out for bit! I’ve also put a link to the demo download on this blog as well, and adjusted the font size to make it easier to read.

Updated to 1.3.1 after a few known bugs, sorry for the inconveince! I jinxed myself about the bug problem it seems!

Another highlight I’ve decided to talk about is one of the questions I’ve gotten! Since the release, I’ve gotten simple questions such as what sort of creature some of the designs are (for example, Tash is based on an Ant Lion!) and who the mysterious voice is (that’s a secret).

However, one question I got most of all was:why does Sena change to a red attire on day two? This one requires a proper post, especially considering how it doesn’t go into the why in-game.

Picture above are all the color options you’ll be getting in the game (outside of spells). As you can see above, there are two red versions, and two blue – some in which haven’t been in the demo.

This is because I was still going through some thoughts about how to approach the matter, but after a lot of thought, this is the result I’ve decided on! To clear any misconceptions and other oddities – your local protagonist is canonly genderfluid, with blue associating with male, and red with female.

Being genderfluid myself,I’ve tried to think how to represent it in the game without it being in someone’s face too much. With this, I feel it works well! After all, this is not a game about exploring gender and expression – but itis a game about perception. To Sena, this is how he presents himself!

So what does this mean for the player? Not much! Sena only uses he/she pronouns (he primary), but I’m not out to fault anyone who makes a mistake or two? Just have a good knowledge of it. Thank you!

P.S: While Sena doesn’t use they pronouns, there are several characters planned to be nonbinary. Overall though, the characters are free to be interpreted as you like! Go wild! I accept all the hc’s. All of them.*

Hi again! After 20 days of my game’s release, I have been surprised and awed at how much attention it has gotten: as of typing, this game has over 680 downloads, and the rate of downloads has yet to decrease. This was a lot higher than what I expected (maybe a 100 at best), so I thank you a lot for giving my game a chance!

I’ll be doing more posts like this in the future (how often, I’ve yet to decide), but I feel it’s important to give recognition to the sort of work others do with my game.

To start, we got a review for version 1.1 byEarly Access Gaming, which you can read righthere! It talks about the game itself, but also a small interview that goes into detail about the development of the game.

Alongside this, we’ve got not, one, but two let’s plays going on! The first is by DoodrunDoesThings,who’s currently playing through the 1.2 demo:

And the second is a playthrough by MaliceDiary! The version they’re playing is 1.1, and they’ve complied aFull Playlistfor easy game watching.

Gardening is one of the many features that is great for days when you aren’t sure what you want to do. Sure, there might be someone after you, or maybe you have to dive into the depths of the ocean to speak to someone, but there’s always time to check on your planty friends.

Depending on how frequent you water your plants, along with what kind you buy, the environment that springs up at Sena’s house can change drastically. The plants that are grown here can be given not only as gifts, but can be used for cooking depending on the type of plant you pick. Be wary of pests, though! Some have a habit of devouring your plants if you’re not careful…

During the game, Sena has access to several changes in attire! While some are purely ‘aesthetic’on the surface, all of the outfits will alter how characters will act to them! Someone who sees Sena in his PJs, for example, might think of him as lazy, while donning his red or ‘main’ outfit may have them respect them for putting on a nice pair of clothes. 

The brown, yellow, and purple outfits all have their own secondary abilities: brown Sena can swim underwater, purple can withstand the cold, and yellow can summon a watering can for gardening. While I’ll go into detail about the latter, the others are some you’ll have to figure out how to use yourself!

One of the most important mechanics, but also the most difficult to put forth, is the concept of how Sena perceives things. Being not born blind, but blind since a young age (the current number is around 7-8 years), they do have some understanding of color. Some places, especially new or frightening ones, will have a simplistic tone, while familiar or comfortable places will often have more detail to them, especially the homes of Ivan and his close friends (such as Jello, as pictured to the left.)

I should note that this map is, essentially, how the world is from a visual (not Sena’s) standpoint. Well, minus the floating school. And the Dragon. Maybe. 

Overall, the island benefits from the excellent fishing, which is the motivation for some of the characters to move in during the game! In fact, the environment of the town is too good, if you ask me….

It’s been a few, hello! First off, I think I’m going to try and post more drawings for this blog – more often than not, I have drawn concepts (many, in fact!), but have been wary about what I should and shouldn’t post: after all, I don’t want to completely spoil this game! This also goes hand in hand with what I’ve been doing more than drawing concepts – planning out this game. The length of the notepad I have for this notes I’ve jotted down about this game is insane!

That being said, I think I’ve found a few that Ican post, and will aim to post them in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned!

This is a blog that will serve as a way to give you updates on the game that I will be making. The game, Sightless, is about a boy who (as the title suggests) cannot see. It’s a game that’ll prove that nothing is what it seems on the surface, and not everyone is as friendly as it appears to be….

Updates on this game are going to be sporadic, and I can’t give a release date as of yet, but I hope you enjoy what’s to come.
