South Side Slopes Sights
I wish I had a hand to hold those cold afternoons, someone to share the beautiful view from my third-floor room, a hug to hide my face in when it rained unexpectedly. It’s tiring to describe it all to people, all over again, the same stories, the same once colourful description of a place which stole my heart becomes dull after repeating it so many times. Sometimes I think there’s things I should keep to myself but then again, I have no control over the passion and excitement sometimes I pour over my tales. I think about my old friends I’ve stopped talking with for so long, I wonder if they’re okay, if they remember me. I think that I would save my stories for the ones who could cherish my memories as part of me. I long for so much people the circumstances have taken away from me.

Remnants of an old Times Square where “from the 1960s to the early 1990s, the seediness of the area, especially due its go-go bars, sex shops, and adult theatres, became an infamous symbol of the city’s decline.” Every time I’m on 40th Street this sign never fails to spark my curiosity and captivate my imagination.
