#smash bros
Hi everyone! I’m interested in starting an art collab! I’ve seen many of these put together for fandoms like One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, even Silly Symphonies characters! I’ve wanted to do one of my own for a while, but wanted to do one that was personal to me. One Piece was done and has a ton of characters, but then I remembered: the new Smash Bros. is coming out in a month! And everyone loves Smash, RIGHT? Well, a lot of people do. But anyway, here’s what I have in mind for this project:
I want to have each of the playable characters, past and present (INCLUDING people cut from current games, and alternate costumes that change them into another character), to reach for a Smash Ball (the thing you use your character’s finishing move with, for those that might not know) in the center, while the characters try to reach for or attack it from all directions.If you’re interested, reblog and claim a character! FOR SUBMISSIONS:
-The final piece will feature the Smash Ball in the center foreground, with each of the characters reaching for it from every angle.
-Please pick ONE character.
-Please send your submissions to [email protected] as either a transparent image, or preferably, a .PSD file without a background.
-Tentative due date for submissions is November 30th. If you won’t be able to make that date, send me an ask and I will either reassign you or or allow you more time to complete depending on your reason.
-Send me an ask if you have any other questions or suggestions.
Hey everyone! I’m updating again to fill you in on the details of this collab. As you many of you know, tomorrow was the deadline I’ve received a lot of great submissions from people. However, not all of the character slots have been filled (there are a few left), and I’ve only received a fraction of the submissions from people that signed up.
So I am extending the deadline one last time to November 30th, the end of the month. If you signed up for a character and you don’t meet that deadline without contacting me, you thereby forfeit that slot and will be open to the first person that calls for it.
Secondly, I am opening up positions for people to take an extra character IF you have already submitted a character and want to do another one. You will not be allowed a second character until you have finished your first.
Additionally, one collaborator has volunteered and created an awesome Smash Ball for the collab. I am still looking for someone that would be interested in creating a background for the piece, as I have no confidence in my ability to do one that isn’t an ugly gradient. Send me and ask if you’re interested!

Dark Pit, about to walk away: Yeah, I’m not gonna do this. I said I was gonna relax this Saturday, and I will. This is your problem.
Marth: Dark Pit, you make it sound like it’s our fault and we want to be in situations like this but we don’t have any choice!
Luigi: Yeah, stuff just happens!
Dark Pit: …Stuff just happens.
Luigi: That’s right!
Dark Pit: All my friends got disintegrated, my parental figure and idiot brother figure get Thanos’d, I get Thanos’d and possessed, Leaf most likely got beamed by the same stuff as I did even though I said it’ll be quick and we’ll take this thing down, we fight the ball of light that did this, then some eye tentacle monster comes out, then we get dragged into the Dark World….and stuff just happens.
King Dedede:…Yeah.

Dark Pit, writing a letter to Viridi: Dear Viridi. I am about to fight some orb monsters even though I really don’t want to. If I die, let it be known because a couple of Smashers I don’t even like lied to me, said this would be quick, but got me basically killed. But despite my death, you aren’t allowed to touch my Vocaloid collection. I see you eyeing it every now and then.
Mario: …..
Dark Pit: Shulk, can you proofread this? (Hands the letter to Shulk)
Shulk: (Sees it’s just a bunch of squiggles) …Yeah, it’s good.
Mario: He’s being extremely negative, Shulk.
(Even more later after everyone struggled to defeat Galeem and Dharkon)
Dark Pit, lying on the ground with his face in the dirt: …This is why no one likes you guys…
Luigi: That’s not true! People like us! ….Don’t they?
Little Mac: Of course they do! People totally like us. Dark Pit’s just being a dick because we’re having a hard time right now.
Dark Pit: I’m being a dick.
Little Mac: Yes!
Dark Pit: You guys told m we were gonna get ice cream, dragged me to a battle I didn’t even want to fight, got me killed, got my friends killed, made it so that the only way out is to fight some sort of Evangalion light ball and some Eye Tentacle Squid that’s really hard to look at….and I’m being a dick?
I feel like this is all a South Park reference and i love that dark pit is basically Craig
