Headcanon that one summer (before all the demigod-chaos) Sally takes Smol Percy to the Bahamas to visit the knockoff version of his dad’s kingdom Atlantis for summer vacation and he’s just ✨mesmerized✨ — they ride all the water slides and eat tons of seafood and swim in the ocean and Percy scares multiple lifeguards by going underwater for like 30 mins at a time and Sally is just like “he’s fine ☺️”
And THAT is where Percy realized that he was different: that he could talk to sea creatures and breathe underwater and never get thirsty no matter how much salt water he drank.
And for years, he sat wondering if that trip was all a dream. Until one day his sus teacher hands him a pen. And then he finally understands that he was living in the wrong world all along.

Update: I’ll be working on a piece for Valentine’s day, and maybe 2 for Shiro’s birthday. The other comic (Keith is Shiro’s copilot) might be delayed again, since I’m prioritizing those other pieces for this month. Instead, this one might come around early or mid March! Thank you for your patience!
