#so much potential

We were robbed of not only Swanfire, but frenemies Captain Swan. Those two could have had the best older sibling younger sibling kinda fighty but don’t fuck with them kind of vibe. Their conversations could have shifted from I cannot stand your ass to I tolerate your presence to I cannot stand your ass (affectionate).

Also, Hookfire.

Neal: “I’m a little stuck on an anniversary gift for Emma, it’s between something super reliable or something really sentimental.”

Hook, without hesitation: A ship

Neal: what the fuck is she gonna do with a ship?

Killian shares embarrassing stories about Neal with Emma and she laughs her ass off while Neal just grumps and occasionally exclaims that is NOT how it went down.

i may be turning all the ted lasso characters on two separate wheels to decide who gets to smooch who but honestly, who can stop me?

nicollekidman:

i love torturing myself with fictional characters just to make sure i can still access depth of feeling. i love being normal.

hot take: zuko is exactly what draco malfoy could have been if jkr were actually a good author

Tonight I’m thinking about last conversations before someone’s taken or badly injured or dies. Or perhaps ended up on opposing sides of a bitter war or conflict. How you almost never know it’s the last time you’ll see that person. How you don’t get to choose what your last conversation will be, because you don’t know it’s going to be the last.

And I know that in whump it’s usually utilized in the big, dramatic form of a full-blown argument being the last conversation. But I think you could make it just as heartwrenching even if you kept it smaller and simpler.

Give me the last conversations that are about the fun new hobby one character started, or the art project they’re working on. Give conversations about the new cafe that opened down the street, or plans to go to movies or shopping together soon. Or conversations abour a mutual friend (or if you’re into that, crushes and dating). Give me something light and ordinary and cheerful.

And make that the part that punches you in the gut. Give me regret because the character wishes the conversation had been deeper, more meaningful, something that feels appropriate for a last conversation. Give me characters determined to find their lost friend because they talked about playing that game together and they can’t stand the thought of never getting the chance to do that. Give me characters going through that last concersation in their head again and again and again, trying to find some sign on what was said that it would be the last time they spoke, trying to find some omen of what would follow, even though there isn’t any because neither of them knew it would be the last conversation they’d have

the fact that it’s 2020 and pixar hasn’t made the Edna Mode movie yet is honestly shameful

sugarandspace:

I loved that ending because it leaves room for continuation if the show gets saved

Okay now if other developers could follow Dead By Daylight’s lead by giving a well-known game a dating-sim spin-off to satiate their fans’ thirst, that would be swell.
