I got a question!

This is regarding Solomon Grundy so any Grundy experts out there I could use ur wisdom!

Solomon Grundy, before his death, was named Cyrus Gold. He only became Solomon Grundy after his death and subsequent resurrection in Slaughter Swamp iirc, yes? (Pls correct me if I’m wrong!)

Here’s the part I’m confused about:

How did he get the name Grundy specifically? Because in Klarion comics Grundies are resurrected zombie-like beings who went through a ritual and are forced to work for the living (usually their families).

The thing is this took place in Limbo Town - an underground mystical area that Klarion is from, not the regular surface world. Solomon Grundy didn’t go through the ritual to become a Grundy so how did he get or even KNOW that name? Is Slaughter Swamp connected to Limbo Town/its residents?

Ehh, I kinda doubt that bcus the Grundies and Solomon Grundy are eerily similar in appearance. Example of a Grundy/ritual below. That looks highkey like Solomon Grundy and the other Grundies look like this too.
