No launch for us today, sadly. Florida being the way it is this time of year it was bound to happen. After constant touch and go with weather officials the launch was finally scrubbed at almost T-18 minutes. Next attempt on Saturday May 30, 1522 EDT.

Weather reports for Saturday currently looking just as optimistic as they were predicted today, with a 40 percent chance of favorable conditions.

“A new era of human spaceflight is set to begin as American astronauts once again launch on an American rocket from American soil to the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will fly on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft, lifting off on a Falcon 9 rocket at 4:32 p.m. EDT May 27, from Launch Complex 39A in Florida, for an extended stay at the space station for the Demo-2 mission. The specific duration of the mission is to be determined.”

Ok, so SpaceXandElon Musk launched Tesla Roadster into space. What a time to be alive, but imagine what can happen years into the future. Here’s my little tribute to that successful Falcon Heavy demo flight :)

It’s time for some spaceplanes again. 

Here’s HOTOL on a runway somewhere in Australia, being secured by recovery teams after safe return from orbit. HOTOL was single-stage-to-orbit concept craft developed by British Aerospace in the 80s, unfortunately it has never been built.
